HOF Game Cancelled

Submitted by VAWolverine on
Due to poor field conditions created by cement-like hardening of logos at midfield and in end zones. Roger Goodell knows how to throw one helluva party.

No, because no one is trying to get him to incriminate himself.

I think there is some law/regulation that may be pretty important that makes it so you don't have to incriminate yourself.

Im sure you woulda said "Yea, sure" when the NFL said "I need your phone to look for a phone number and stuff, but I'm going to need it for a few weeks. Oh, and you're just gonna have to trust us that we won't leak any info from your phone, look at your private photos, texts etc."

painting fields is not rocket science.  have played on boatloads, grass and turf, and never even heard of that problem.  i have a feeling the real story, if it ever comes out, will be one of those where we would all reflexively say, 'you have got to be kidding!  nobody could be that stupid' type of responses.

This totally blows.  If you're a die hard football fan like I am then you've been waiting for the start of this for the past few weeks now.  Just waiting for any semblance of football to be viewed on my TV screen that I haven't seen before.  So disappointed and pissed at the HOF that they couldn't do a simple job of creating a playable surface.  Now I have to wait a hole nother week just to get my football fix.  FML.

you will recall the first game of the preseason was always the NFL champion vs. the college all American team. I believe it was last played in 1969 and was cancelled in the 3rd quarter due to an unending lightning storm. It was always played at Soldier Field in Chicago. After this game was cancelled the NFL ziggyed the entire concept. As I recall it was always hotter than hell every year for this game.

call me biased, but Charles Woodson is great at his new job. You can tell he's not going to sit there and kiss Goodell's ass like the rest of the guys.

Hard to believe with all of the money and resources that the NFL has that this could happen.

I can understand Disco Demolition happening in 1979 but I cant understand this.
