NMU has an Olympic-sized rink because Marquette is home to an Olympic Training Center?  That would be my educated guess.

As for NHL-sized ice, even the NHL has had some amount of disparity over the years.  I think things are more-or-or less standardized now, but I am pretty sure Boston and possibly Chicago had smaller ice surfaces for many many years.

wonderful sheet of ice.  seats about 5,000 and is a fun place to see a hockey game.   i loved playing at lakeland too (NMU's old arena), it was a dump but it also had good ice and atmosphere.

Happy 800! The one and only time I meant him was at a gas station in Port Huron a couple months ago. He had a sense of humor that caught me off guard. He told me my new truck was sharp and that he wanted to save his pennies and that hopefully he can get one once he retires. The only thing I could muster was a "sure".. With a weak chuckle.

Just got out. Oh my God what a day. Amazing basketball comeback from section 222. Moment of silence pregame for Roy Tarpley and Michigan won in the same jerseys he wore whole at Michigan. Then a quick run to Yost for a Michigan SWEEP of #9 Minnesota. Hey guys. I think Michigan will be ranked on monday. 3 wins over top-10 teams in last 4 games. Amazing day.
