"The University of Illinois is also in turmoil. The university sports an Interim Chancellor, an Interim Athletic Director, and an Interim Football Coach; the game will be played at Soldier Field, making this an Illini Interim Home Game."
Hockey Stays Second in USCHO Poll
Intersting. I thought Notre Dame might've jumped up to 2nd with their performance against Minnesota this weekend (3 goal win and a 1 goal loss)
Playing on the road against UNO this weekend is going to be tough. If we happen to sweep an argument could be make for the top spot. But rankings are worthless in hockey and I would be pretty happy with a split.
UNO has not been great this year and they have been a major disappointment at home, going 2-4-0 with losses to Bentley, North Dakota, and Cornell. We should be able to take care of business.
When Michigan Hockey is the dominant sport in Michigan Athletics. Get it going Hoke.
Wasn't there some event UM participated in back in March/April? I seem to have forgotten...
No. This is not bad. The hockey team has been no slouch for several years. Also, basketball. Additionally see swimming, gymnastics, softball, etc that are MUCH more dominant than any big profit bringing sport.
You make it sound like hockey has been a doormat. You do realize it's been the most consistenty great revenue sport we've had for the past 20-25 years, right?
I agree the hockey team has been the most consistent but I had no idea that it made a buck. Hmm.
