Hockey season ticket price reduced

Submitted by Canadian on
Just got an email informing me that this seasons prices have been reduced. Endzone seats see a 15% drop, sideline 12% and centre ice 10%.
Also I noticed at the bottom of the email that season ticket holders will receive a 20% concession discount before the start of the game (for every home game). This is great news for myself as that's the only time i visit the concession stands (grabbing a bite to eat as I have to rush over right after work).

I was considering dropping my tickets but now I may be back in.

Student ticket prices also dropped for hockey if I remember the email correctly...there was also a mention that it would probably go the basketball route for claiming tickets as well

Hopefully this results in sellouts and convinces brandon the same thing for football is good. This is honestly the first I have ever heard of a sports team dropping prices so I think Brandon deserves some credit.

My guess is this is due to:

1. increased football prices - makes it harder to do both

2. recent basketball success - which sport would you choose for your "secondary" tickets?

This is a good thing. Go to Yost. I had season tickets to football and hockey all 4 years (and went to 1 basketball game. 2005-2009 was a bit different than today) Take advantage and go to Yost.

No kidding. I will be renewing my season tickets for hockey to show Douchebag Brandon this is how you treat your middle class fans, not by pricing them out.

What's the deal with student tickets? Did they go down, and so will students that bought them (returning students had to months ago I think) get a refund on the difference?

I don't think any less than they had last year.  But when we shifted over from the CCHA to the B1G last year you did lose the first round CCHA home game tickets that came with your season ticket package previously, because who would want those when we can all travel to St. Paul to watch the B1G hockey tournament, amirite?

We have season tix and my husband filled out the end of season survey and gave hockey a scathing review. Asked if the tickets were worth the money he answered NO, asked if he would recommend tix to friends and he answered NO. He filled in the open comments with his overall disappointment with the quality of hockey and the hockey experience. We do enjoy hockey, we have good seats, but they are really expensive, especially since the seasons have been disappointing. We kept them this year to help our priority points. It will be nice not to pay as much. Too bad the concession discount is only for new season ticket holders.

I never thought I would see the words ''ticket prices reduced'' while Brandon was in charge. I almost fainted when I saw this. Huzzah!

And how about they stop trying to be PC and just let the students do their thing? The atmosphere in Yost is not as good as it once was in my opinion.

Brandon isn't such an idiot now, is he?

That chant is best suited for Michigan State fans. I've hated it and have thought of it to be extremely classless.
