Hockey - Northeast Regional - BC/Yale

Submitted by pz on
Anyone else have an eye on this? BC was up 2-1 at the end of the first, then the teams traded goals and BC scored two more and looked like they were running away with it at 6-2. However, Yale just potted one to make it 6-3. For those who enjoy high energy, up and down hockey, this is a fun game to watch...

and very impressed with Yale so far. A lot faster than I expected for a team out of the Ivy League. But, obviously they have to have some skaters to have already ousted the Sioux.

if we win tonight, we certainly will. I agree with the general comments - seeing a lack of D and Goaltending, though it looked like BC might have relaxed a bit once they went up 6-2. I do really think playing either of these teams would be a fun game, though not so sure I'd be particularly "happy" about the matchup. Very few Frozen Four matchups are inherently appealing, though. [I'd be "happy" about a matchup with RIT... while they played a couple of good games this weekend, I expect Wisconsin to absolutely run over them in the other semifinal.]

I don't feel like Wisconsin has quite been playing up to their potential and they've still been winning, and RIT is at least as hot as we are right now. Both of them will put up a huge fight in the semi, and the winner will be a very worthy opponent for the title.

ESPNU had better switch to our game at 8 since this one's already been decided... Then again, really it was over as soon as BC scored a short-handed goal from BEHIND THEIR OWN BLUELINE EDIT: Hold on, 9-6 now, this could go down to the wire
