It's 4-1 Spartans. This is pretty ridiculous so far. We can't do very much when MSU is on the powerplay for almost half the period.

Slightly off topic but maybe the slight distraction is welcome considering the circumstances.  Any hockey junkies know of anyone with old hockey video from the 90s (Morrison, Turco era???)  Would love to look back on some of those throttlings of sparty at the joe and yost .  Such great memories.  I would be willing to purchase.  Okay, now back to reality... :(

I'm officially done with the one goalie per weekend system. Needs to go back to the two-platoon used in 2010-11. Give Rutledge friday and Racine saturday.

Losing to this piss ass team in the manner Michigan did is unacceptable. Not that the refs are any good.

EDIT: Well just looked at the box score. We outshot MSU 42-29 and lost 7-2. Rutledge let in 7 goals on 20 shots. Ho-ly crap guys. wtf

I don't remember the number off the top of my head, but State had 8-10 minutes of PP time in the first period alone. Once they built that lead they just rode the momentum. Also they found a gem in Hildebrand, who has played exceptionally well this season.
