Hockey Conference Championships Question

Submitted by VictorsValiant09 on
Hi MGoBoard,

I've been editing Michigan Hockey's Wikipedia page, and I've been having this very "congenial," let's say, dialogue with this user who wants me to provide more evidence for Michigan's conference championships prior to the 1950's.  I referenced Bacon's "Blue Ice," but I need an online source.  Does anyone know of anyplace online that would have the appendices to "Blue Ice" listing our conference titles in the 1920's and 1930's?

Thanks,
Geoff

Thanks all.  Here's the interesting thing, according to Bacon.

From 1922-1951, we WERE in a three-team conference, the WIHL, the precursor to the Big Ten.  On at least eight occasions in the appendices, we were listed as having finished 1st in that conference.

I honestly believe the program should recognize those.  I mean, we were in three conferences prior to the CCHA, and if you honestly say that "those don't count," you're as bad as an MSU fan, lolz.

An interesting discovery on my second go-around of "Blue Ice," nonetheless.
