It'll be on January 3rd at 4 pm on CBS. Just before the Sugar Bowl.

Apparently this is the inaugural playing of the Semper Fidelis AA Bowl. Sponsoredby the USMC and Junior Rank Sports http://juniorrank.com/. Tom Lemming is one of the primary talent scouts for the scouting service. Along with Kozan annuoncing at the event, Michigan targets Jordan Diamond, and Armani Reeves, and commits Anthony Standifer and Mario Ojemudia, and former silent commit Wayne Morgan will all be playing in the game.

The Army All-American Bowl is the oldest and best known, but it seems the ESPN/Under Armour game has gained a ton of attention because of its sponsors (ESPN...and Under Armour).  I'd say they're both on pretty equal footing now.

It sounds like this Semper Fidelis All American Bowl may be the next in line...a solid #3. They've got CBS, Lemming, etc. ESPN is a lot of fluff, the actual game is boring. But the players get way more stuff for going to that game, they usually have some rapper doing the halftime show and they're now getting top talent there, maybe even more than the Army game. It's also better now that they moved it to the Trop.

The Army AA game seems to be a better game, has a good atmosphere with the troops in the stands, and they have enough presentations and commitments of note to keep it interesting. I prefer it because it seems to be a better feel for who can play and most resembles college football.

I will add that all of these All American games (the Big 2, soon to be Big 3) are making the games worse. The top talent is diluted more and you don't get the best guys in the country on the same field like you did 5 years ago.

I agree that the top talent is getting diluted, but there's no way to attract the top talent if you can't pay them...unless you can offer lots of TV air time and snazzy uniforms.  That's where the ESPN/Under Armour game seems to be gaining steam.

Lemming used to be associated with the Army game, but that relationship has since fizzled.

Jarrod Wilson will be playing in the Offense-Defense game on the 29th.  They've put together a decent group this year with quite a few 4 star guys.  Former commit Pharoah Brown will also be playing.
