I feel like this meltdown has been coming ever since Blount made it back on the team. Every single player team had to think "Holy shit, I can sucker punch a guy on national TV and make it back on the team? What's a little drinking in the club compared to that...."

Oregon obviously has some serious issues, but I don't think it's realistic to blame it on Blount. This isn't like the Winston case where there wasn't even a suspension. Blount went from the unquestioned starter and star of the offense, and a likely 1st round draft pick, to a guy who was counting himself lucky to get a run or two in the last couple games of the season. It remains to be seen if he'll be drafted, but it certainly won't be in one of the early rounds. I find it hard to imagine anybody on the Oregon team would be pointing at Blount and saying "Oh there are no consequences in Eugene for getting into trouble."

Going to ESPN to check out what they think is important in college football this time of year is so dangerous. I use my peripheral vision and hope not to see the word "Michigan" unless it's followed by "State", because nothing making it onto ESPN now is good news.
