is all the more amazing when you think about all the QB injuries

Favre's streak may soon come to an end, but it will be because of his scandalous lifestyle, and not because of injury (or retirement).

my friend suggested to me that miami trade for favre since they are still in playoff contention and at this point minny is basically been written off unless they can win out or get really lucky. even favre has to be an upgrade from pigpen (sorry thigpen). real sad for henne, got really happy when pennington went down, only to have the gods crap on hennes knee

October 19th.

minny just cut him outright?
I could see that happening

yea sorry that's more what i meant. i mean they dropped randy to waivers so they could do the same for favre. he really has little trade value anyways, so at this point drop him and hope somebody picks up his contract and saves you like 8 million bucks. the dolphins are looking to sign a free agent so it could definitely happen

It also seems like Jake Long might need to get surgery.

Is this meme getting overused or is it just me?

It's not just you.

It's not half as bad as putting tangentially-relevant text on an average picture of a normal cat. That's premium humor right there.

edge phrase can never be used too much.

I am a Dolphins fan and obviously a Michigan fan. I have never wanted a player to do good in the NFL more than Henne. On Dolphins blogs they have all given up on him and hate him. This angers me because he is only in his 2nd year of starting. Luckily the owner loves him and he will get another shot. He was playing well before he got hurt. 9-11 for 100+ and a TD in the 3rd quarter. Also losing Jake Long will hurt. If Henne was healthy he would be getting hit constantly without Long, luckily Thigpen has some speed. No dilithium but speed.

From the article:
The loss of Henne isn't bad news for Miami's receivers, as the team won Sunday's game in the air and figure to continue the trend in Week 11.
No class.

They passed for 316 yards, and Henne accounted for 240 of them.

but I'm 99% sure that guy is talking about relative to how you would consider the Miami receivers in their deployment for fantasy football...

If it was a fantasy football reference, I amend my previous statement:
No life.

That's too bad. I have been enjoying following the Dolphins ever since Jake and Chad started to play down there. I was really pulling for Chad this season, too. Hopefully this will just be a blip in an otherwise successful tenure in the NFL.
November 15th, 2010 at 2:41 PM ^
he gets to travel with the team, study film, play xbox/playstation games, work out and pull down $950K per year! Sweet.
Amazingly Chad Pennington has a much sweeter deal ($5.8 million).
Man, there must be some serious dough going around between players, insurance companies and the NFL.

If the Dolphins don't like him, (I know Ross does) then the Lions should try and get him. We need a quarterback, right? We at least need someone to push Stafford next year and someone to be there if/when he goes down.
I almost don't want this to happen...playing for the lions is a career ending move.

I agree that having a good backup to Stafford would be huge, but I think Henne still has a lot of potential and probably wouldn't want to be a backup to a guy he may be better than. I'd actually like them to make a run at a Jason Campbell-type of QB, a guy with some years in the NFL and who understands he won't be the starter at first but can get there over time. Depending on how the rosters shake out in the offseason, I think they'll be a couple of guys available in that mold.

apparently, Sparano has said the 'out-for-the-season' rumors are inaccurate, and that he's day-to-day. Not sure that news is out there in news reports... found it on a Dolphins message board. but the info came from the 415pm presser.
FYI, but take it with a grain of salt until it becomes official.
