Henne and Mallet part 2
I was reading an article in the Miami Herald where they were breaking down the pros/cons of selecting Mallet. It was pretty much the same stuff you have heard before with any pre-draft analysis where they break down the scenario. What was interesting to me is that there is no mention of the unusual pairing of having him back up Henne like he did his first year at Michigan.
I know Mallet had some issues while at Michigan, but I never read anything about his relationship with Henne. I don't know if they ever became friends or kept in touch after they both left school. I wonder what the reaction would be if Miami actually selected Mallet. "Hey I know this guy" or "the dude is following me like a bad penny". I have had to face palm in the past when inexplicably that one guy (you know the one I am talking about), through no assistance of your own, ends up coming to the company where you took a new job.

I saw that too and thought it was intriguing but i really hope Henne can hang onto his starting position and become a great NFL qb

but needs to start making better decision, his decision making is poor. He has a sweet team around him...i think the fins' will end up with either mallet or ponder. Should be an interesting draft...

I think Chad is going to stand up and be counted this year. He killed them in some games last year, though their entire philosophy is kind of bizarre sometimes.

.... if any team knows about drafting a phenom who likes to get high, it's Miami.

Except that New Orleans actually drafted that guy.....

But I'm pretty sure he's talking about Dan Marino.
Really? I'd never heard that about Dan the Man, not that I'd looked. He looks so straight-laced that I'd think he'd be HILARIOUS high.
The story was that NFL teams found out Marino liked to puff the cheeba (who knows to what extent he actually did) and that is why he fell to #27 in the draft (behind guys like Todd Blackledge and Tony Eason), despite basically having the best throwing arm ever.
... I was talking about Marino. It's sad because I remember it, which means I'm old enough to remember it, which means I'm getting old.
But, talk about a hell of a QB draft class -- Marino, Elway, and Kelly. Geez.
*cough* you are old *cough*
sorry. dude was drafted before spinal tap came out.
