The difference between being a 7th round pick and an UFA is pretty significant when it comes to makng the team.  The front office has invested something in the player (a draft pick) and they will get every chance to show the coaching staff they were worthy of the investment.

Go show the Chiefs what you got Jr.  It's up to you now.

Meh, being a UFA gives you a lot of flexibility on who to sign with instead of only being able to sign with the 1 team that drafts you. Personally, Id want to be drafted just to say I was but there is more flexibility with a UFA than a 7th rder. For example, as a WR I wouldn't choose the Chiefs ... they already have some good ones in Bowe, Baldwin, Breaston and 4th rder Wylie. Still could make the team but thats some tough PT to steal.

of all the players who U of M could have had drafted besides Odoms who I love, Junior was my favorite. H e went through so much in his 4 or 5 years here that I am so happy for him to achieve his goal of at least getting a chance to play in the NFL. Go Blue and make us even more proud Junior than you have done already in your football career.

Not sure where he'll fit in with the receiving core of Dwyane Bowe, fellow Wolverine Steve Breaston, and last year's 1st round pick Jon Baldwin, but I hope he finds a way onto the field one day. If Junior works hard on getting separation and making quick cuts on his routes, he definitely has the tools to be a receiver in the League.
