two players that almost went entirely unnoticed under the Richrod system glad to see things work out for them

Both players had similar success last season. I don't think either one has improved significantly from last year until now. Koger had a few more receptions, but not a significant amount.
This isn't a Rodriguez vs. Hoke thing. Neither player was a standout, no matter who the coach was.

Plus, I think both endured some developing passing games that didn't necessarily allow them to flourish. Maybe if we weren't starting a new QB from 2008-2010, each season, then either, particularly Hemingway could have made more of an impact. Koger didn't overcome the drops until his senior year and even then he still dropped a few.

Mike Shaw is playing in the Casino del Sol All-Star game, which apparantly is a real thing.

good for both of them. i really want to see hemingway at the next level.

I agree. I think he's skilled enough to get a shot playing at the next level even if he doesn't have good speed.

I think Hemingway could be used as a pass catching TE if he's too slow to play WR. Bring him in as a TE who can split out wide...similar to Dustin Keller who now plays for the NY Jets.

Hemingway is listed at 6'1", which means he's probably more like 6'0". I don't know how many tight ends are 6'1" or shorter.

All I know is that he has all the tools to play in the NFL except elite speed. However he's got a big body for a WR. That 2nd touchdown was an NFL calibur TD. I'm not sure I want him blocking like a TE or a FB...but I'd definitely put him in the backfield then split him out wide (like the Jets do with Keller) and let him get matched up on a LB or get a free release and matched up on a safety.
