This guy gets my "irrationally excited about" award. I liked Gentry from the moment he showed up on Nussmeier's radar back before the season started.
I enjoy weird recruits - guys with unique or distinct skillsets that make them difficult to benchmark because they don't fit a "future professional" footprint. Gentry's that guy. Absolutely titantic and can really zip around with a good arm. He reminds me a lot of Jamarcus Russell.

and is the first player Space Coyote compared Gentry to I believe. It's a pretty fair comparison at this point I think, though hopefully Gentry doesn't heff up like Russell ended up doing.

good for him. and cool atmosphere for recruits. no doubt theyll work to surround him with enough talent and run favorable O.
hopefully hes able to play with confidence and let it loose whenever he earns the job - been far too long since michigan had 100% confident QB running the show, but im sure this staff will do whats necessary to fulfill their end of the bargain
