For all the talk about playing AGAINST mediocre players, you also have to remember that he's playing WITH mediocre players. The completion percentage, touchdowns, bailing out of the pocket, etc. have to be tempered by the fact that his teammates aren't very good at football, either. They did send a 2-star recruit to Colorado...back in 2011.

How many of Alabama QB's won them a championship, or was it the beast RB's and OL. TCU offense has always been middling except this year. & Texas coaching staff isn't the same as it was with Mack Brown. You know who develops and spots good QB's; Meyer, Sumlin, Briles, Mora. Harbaugh has his highlights as a coach but he isn't inconceivably invincible.

FauxMichBro, I see that you've only been here for a couple weeks, so there is something I think you ought to know: these "hello" threads are really meant to celebrate a new commit and to congratulate the player. If you aren't impressed with his film, that's fine--but save it for later. The hello thread is not really the best time or place.

Gentry’s 2014 numbers are impressive: 2,231 passing yards, 21 touchdowns vs. five picks, a 61 percent completion rate. Then sprinkle in his running stats: 904 yards and another 19 scores. While not the best ever - not bad. Really good mobility for his size. Don't love the throwing motion but nice touch on the ball. We shall see.

"Just watched the kid's highlights. While the competition should always be considered, he moves pretty well for someone 6'8". He reportedly runs a 4.68. Looks like it on the video too. This one makes me nervous because he has TREMENDOUS upside. I think the only thing that has the potential to beat the Buckeyes for the foreseeable future is the QB position. It will take a QB going insane to beat us. This kid instantly becomes the best QB on their roster when he steps foot on campus, IMO." http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1526405/highlights/164804375

I can see saying this if Gentry is much higher rated than our current commit but he isn't more highly regarded. There's times to disregard the job Hoke did, but in this case it's idiotic. He had a better QB Commit and most coaches don't agree with the 2 QB's per class mantra.

What exactly is factually wrong? You mean Hoke being one of the best recruiters in college football. How many of our underachieving 4, and 5 star players did Alabama want? Please explain what's incorrect I'm waiting. Dismissing something as factually wrong without proof is self-righteous ma-am.
