Hello: Rossi Bruno (wrestling)

Michigan received their second commitment for the 2012 class today, #12 overall Rossi Bruno from Brandon, Florida. He is already a 4 time state champ, having went undefeated and winning a title in Florida as an 8th grader. I can't find results for national tournaments on my phone at the moment, but anyone ranked that high is probably a multiple time Fargo All American, and at least a one time champ. He should be around 125 to 133 in college, possible redshirt but anyone with his recruiting pedigree has a chance to step into most lineups and make a big impact right away. Bruno is the 2nd wrestler from Brandon in 3 years to commit to Michigan, Grajales being the other. It'd be great to get a pipeline there, its a ridiculously succesful program, far from the teams Michigan usually has to recruit against like OSU and PSU. This class is shaping up very well so far, 2 commitments from top 20 overall recruits in Bruno and #17 Jordan Thomas of Greenville. If they manage to get Massa, and its a very real possibility they do, this could be a program defining class.

Is intermatwrestle.com they've got high school and college weight class rankings and college team rankings available for free, although anything more in depth then that is behind a paywall. theopenmat.com is a decent source, much more information available without paying, but also a little less reliable and slower to update. Probably should mention michigangrappler.com as well, not much in the way of national coverage but they do a nice job covering commitments for in state schools and prospects. That's the place to go if you wanna see where everyone stacks up in state, even if it is run by a spartan...

Thanks for the links. I was able to use it to find that a guy that was 2 years older than me is now a top-25 caliber wrestler in college at the 174 class without ever winning a state championship while in high school. Unfortunately he's accomplishing all of this at MSU.

Rossi Bruno won his 5th State Title this weekend and finished the year 61wins 0 losses. Some answers to questions asked above he is a 7 time Fargo All american 3 time finalist and 2 time champ. 3 time NHSCA fimalist and 2 time champ. 3 time Super 32 placer plus numerous other Regional championships and 2 time cheesehead champ against numerous ranked wrestlers and 2 time undefeated All Clash tournament team member defeating this years number 1 ranked at the time Dean Heil. He is really excited to be a part of the Michigan experience. Ijust became a Michigan fan. GO BLUE.
