Hello: Nolan De Jong (hockey)
Via Michigan Hockey Net, a BCHL defenseman by the name of Nolan De Jong has committed for 2013. Doesn't appear that there's too much info on him other than what MHNet scooped up:
De Jong has posted 2-9-11 in 15 games this season with both goals coming on the power play. He also has six penalty minutes. Last season he recorded 2-15-17 in 56 games along with 20 PIM, so he’s already well ahead of his scoring pace from a year ago. Nolan was listed as a ‘B’ Skater by NHL Central Scouting for the 2013 NHL Draft (potential 2nd or 3rd round pick), just one of two ‘B’ Skaters in the BCHL. He was recently invited to the Canada West Selection Camp for the World Junior ‘A’ Challenge.
Being a 'B' skater is certainly a good sign. I'll let you read more at the source: MHNet
Also in hockey news, the hockey website Inside College Hockey has called it quits somewhat unexpectedly right after the season started. I figure those looking at hockey recruiting news may have stopped by there from time to time. It was a good website. Link.

Imagine here an embed of "Too Much Time on My Hands" as a tribute to the time spent on this site...

Sucks about INCH. Especially for those of us that starve for college hockey coverage and gorge ourselves on what little there seems to be.

I only knew of three websites that really cover college hockey: USCHO, College Hockey News, and INCH. I guess we're down to two now

This may be the wrong guy, but I am fairly certain I met him on February 11 at the Michigan vs Michigan State game at the Joe. He had met Red the day earlier and said he really liked Ann Arbor, Yost, and Michigan. He was there with his father and was extremely nice. He was visiting South Bend the next day. Obviously he has realized to associate with the leaders and best.

They had a lot of weekend previews, teams/players to watch etc. I've never used USCHO for much more than the message boards. Western College Hockey Blog isn't bad but theres not too much concerning Eastern teams for those who care. Go Blue
