So proud and honored to be the coach of Michael Shuster who just got off the phone with Coach Harbaugh and committed to Michigan!

2016 QB from Camp Hill, PA

edit: Lorenz from 247 says he's hearing it's as a PWO

or he's got to go to the bathroom.

I forgot, the bathroom comes to Jim. (The world's most interesting man is envious of Harbaugh.)

And BTW, does he ALWAYS wear the same outfit? I remember a Happy Days episode where Richie saw Fonzie's closet. It was white t-shirt, black t-shirt, white t-shirt, black t-shirt, and so on and so forth. I assume Harbaugh's closet has a row of those shirts lined up one right after the other.

Commit to UM and Harbaugh as a PWO QB, Redshirt, spend 4 years learning from the best, take your 5th year to Deleware/Youngstown/Purdue and start and be an NFL 1st round  pick.

Sounds like a good plan....

I'd never tell a kid not to come to what i think is the best university in the world.  But I have to wonder what his expectations are?  And how many QB's is enough?

I'd love to hear what they are telling potential QB's about who's staying and who's going.

His expectations are that he will probably never start. He probably has a realistic assessment of his talent level relative to the other guys coming in. If you're offered a PWO spot instead of a scholarship you know automatically the coaching staff doesn't see you as a starter. Yet he choose to come here anyway. If he really wants a shot to play as a starter he'd go for a more attainable scholarship from a smaller program.

We have 8 QBs on our roster right now, including walk-ons.  Do we have 8QBs taking reps in practice right now? I have a feeling that Brian Cleary, Garrett Moores and Matt Thompson are not taking away too many practice reps that are needed elsewhere.

The best case scenario is he never see's meaningful minutes because the scholarship QB's are much better. But congrats to the kid. However, that out of state tuition is a bitch though

One of my good buddies, who's committed to Penn right now, was offered a PWO spot at Michigan (he's a QB). So I guess that spots taken then.
