for being such a positive force in your community while carrying that Michigan banner. Alumni like you are the definition of the Michigan Difference.
HELLO MGOBLOG ITS VINCENT SMITH
Thank you so much I appretiate you saying thank you and I feel like its something I have to do to give back to my community in a good way and Michigan has really taught me a lot about being a Michigan Man.
I look forward to seeing you make an NFL roster.
Obligatory, and I hope to see this move in the NFL.
Someone from Team 134 and beyond needs to keep doing this, beause it is too fucking awesome to let die. We're all gonna miss you Vince, best wishes in life and i know that Michigan degree will pay dividends for the rest of your life. A true MICHIGAN MAN!
+5 is not enough for that gif. I loved it when he did that.
Finger guns is my blitz my read one and two.
Reason # 89,659 it's great to be a Michigan Wolverine: we've got great football players both on and off the field. Keep representing our university to well, it's nice to see all of the positive impacts!
and all you're doing now! Good luck with the NFL training and see you at an event maybe. Go Blue tonight!
I'm going to go WAY out on a limb here Vincent and say that if you want to make a post on your own one of the Mods can and will override the "100 point rule" so that you can.
Thank you so much for all you did for the team while you were here.
I don't want to live in a world where THE KNOWLEDGE can post on MGoBlog, but Vincent Smith can not.
BILLY MAYS HERE
Good luck to you! Glad things are going well!
That sounds like a great idea Vincent. It would be a great idea to canvas more people and promote your program. I just have one questions that I don't think you answered before, what did your finger guns mean! Or were they just fun to do before a play started?
vs. the Irish under the lights...I could watch that on a continuous loop for hours.
Thanks for the memories and best of luck in the league.
Best of luck to you, Vincent, and thank you for everything you've done, both on and off the field.
If you want to create an account, I'd suggest emailing Brian ([email protected]). If you don't want to do that, you can go ahead and make an account and I can give you more than enough points to post, just reply here and I'll take care of it.
Brian would be able to set up anything you'd like to do on the site, though, so that might be the better approach.
Any way to 'verify' users or something like that? So we know who are mods, who are former athletes (should they choose to reveal themselves).
Mods can see email addresses, which need to be valid to open an account. If Smith replied (or some other notable person posted) with "[email protected]*" as the email associated with the account, that can be cross referenced pretty easily online and he'll get a point bump. Conversely, if someone had the account "RealDenardRobinson", posted that he hated smiling and the email was [email protected], that's going to raise flags pretty quickly. I've never encountered that, but I would assume Brian would take care of it before it became an issue, or we'd just get rid of the account if it was full on troll.
As for getting a little icon like on Twitter, that's been brought up before.
*Just in case, that's absolutely fake and made up on the spot to make the point.
now my work e-mail is going to get flooded.
you've been looking for an excuse to add 69 after h8r for a while, and you're just finding a way to blame MGoBlog for it.
True. Also with former players in the NFL I sometimes cross-reference with their Player's Association, or I email their foundations. With this one we had another player of Odoms's year confirm it was the real Tae putting up Hope for Pahokee originally.
Yeah Vincent, just post in this thread and we'll bump your point total up. It only takes like 45 minutes (or 45 seconds).
This is mine
You should be able to post something if you want, just to to the top left of the screen and you'll see "create content". That will let you post any updates or stories or whatever else you'd like to share.
Ok that sounds good
And your work in the community is inspiring!!!
Good luck in all of your future endeavors.
Thanks again for all of your hard work and dedication to this program, as well as making one of my favorite titles for a post ever.
than tailgating! not sure what the day will be like or if the golf course will be open or not.
keep up the good work, i will keep my eyes open for a wrist band...
It's funny, we never think of things like the fact that the players never get to do things we take for granted like tailgate at football games. A whole new world awaits.
I hope you give Louisville the double barrel salute before tonight's tip.
Also, +1 for actually knowing the posting rules.
Thank you for all you have done for U of M and your community. SOMEONE GET THIS MAN SOME POINTS!
It seems like Vincent wants to know the best place to set up around the stadium..maybe we should give him some actual advice... I know the the golf course and behind the stadium where you guys get dropped off at before a game would be great spots. Lots of foot traffic and many many tailgates.
The corner of Stadium and Main at Pioneer would also be a good spot. I'm sure the guys over at RUB's would be fine with having something set up over there after the game for the MGoBlog meetup.
Vincent, if you want to have your own account for posting, set one up and then email Brian or Seth and the or one of the moderators (JustinGoBlue, LSAClassof2000, ZoneLeft, profitgoblue, BiSB) can set you up with enough points to create your own threads. You earned it!!!!!
Yeah, because if you actually played football for Michigan I think they deserve an automatic 100 point floor. Because, well yeah.
I so respet how tough of a player you are.
If i knew the answer to his question I would help him out..Does anyone wanna actually answer his question??
would be a great spot, a ton of traffic from the Blue lot and State St. parking.
(who will be negged to death for posting a spelling correction?)
Man, fuck Jadaveon Clowney.
Vicent's UM years, and for WolvinLA2's comma after "Man."
Thanks. Proof-reading is my friend.
On a related note, I told my wife she could hook up with Charles Woodson so that when we had sex it was like I was making love to Woodson without being gay or committing adultery.
Just something to keep in mind.
My favorite "little guy". You were tough as nails man. You were out best blocking back, and I even bought one of those ugly utl jerseys because it had the number 2 on it. Best of luck man.
Inbox me your address and we will get a post card out to him
Until the thread immediately following tonight's game:
Thanks for stopping by!
I am sorry, I might have missed this, but how do you get the wrist bands? Thanks
We had a kickstarter and they were supporting and awareness for our projects.
We will have some to hand out at the Spring Scrimmage game if it is not raining.
We also have a website and you can read about what we are trying to do for my hometown.
Thanks, I checked out the website and brought some wristbands. Will go back and buy some shirts as well. Thanks for all you do.
Appreciate everything you and your teammates have done for the university. You and your contributions will be missed! Best of luck in your future endeavors!
I would suggest on the corner between the high school and the stadium. A lot of foot traffic and tailgating.
Also, also, thanks for all you gave to Michigan. Good luck with C2C and getting to the NFL.
I might have came.
Thanks for all that you gave to Michigan and all that you are giving back through your work in the community. The work you are doing is exactly what "the Michigan difference" is, I believe, and this community could not be more happy to support it in any way we can. Good luck with your training!
So he can post, take points from me, and give them to him.
Thank you for always being the toughest guy out there
Sorry I don't know the answer to your question, but good luck with it. And thanks for all your hard work!
Thank you! You'll always be remembered for your TREMENDOUS blocks and those sweet throwback screens!
I think at the corner of Stadium and Main would be good - a lot of people go by there. Also, you may want to get in touch with the annarbor.com sports people because they could put an article in about what you are doing and (maybe) get more exposure (or at least a different crowd than hangs out here).
Also, it was fun meeting you at the Women's Football Academy last year and wish you the best of luck!
Vincent Smith, toughest SOB on the planet!
Respect for Martavious and Vincent. Miss you guys. Give 'em hell in the NFL, and Pahokee has my support.
you could speak to someone within the Athletic Department and see if they have a way for you to distribute the information (I would guess not b/c of the affiliation with Mott and Special Olympics), but you never know. If I recall correctly, only certain entrances are open for the spring game and you can at least get that information so any friends/colleagues you have out at the game can be positioned in the right spot for the most people/exposure.
Hail to Vincent Smith!
Thank you for your years of service, and great memories. You were one tough mutha. Best of luck to you in all of your future endeavors.
Thank you for representing Michigan so well, and for all of your blood, sweat, and tears on the football field. Thank you! Good luck!
In terms of setting up for the game, I'd ask the Athletic Deparment to let you set up inside the stadium by the MDen (assuming it will be open). Between the store and the bathroom complex right there it seems to provide a lot of foot traffic. Also that corner of the stadium is the "old people" corner who are less likely to learn about EATING via MGoBlog/Reddit/etc.
Once the game is over, migrate up to South U, either by the Union or in the little plaza by West Hall. Lots of local folk bring their kids to the Spring Game and then get in a quick tour of campus. Plus you'll have your normal crowd of drunken students cruising through.
If you need some storage space near the stadium, I can offer some space in a warehouse. The mods can provide you with my email or I'll post my email here if you want the space. I can't help much for parking though, sadly that requires god level powers at this place.
to see if anyone had the balls(or ovaries, I guess) to downvote this thread. Nope.
If someone attemtped that, screw Bolivia. They'd be sent to fiery depths of blog hell.
Also, thank you Vincent.
I'm with ya brother. I was tempted to do it, but I am 103% certain that Vincent Smith can outrun me.
I really respect your attitude and resilience and will be rooting for you for a long time to come. Good luck and Go Blue!
