Click on the Messiah DeWeaver tag on the Hello post and you'll see this is a kid that has been begging for a Michigan offer for over a year.  It's pretty clear that this is where he wants to be.  I think you can pretty much stop your pessimism on this one.

He has chosen to camp at Michigan 3 years in a row.  He has personally requested workouts in front of Al Borges, and then when Borges was canned, Nuss.  He has driven his own recruitment, and he drove it to Michigan.

But FWIW, this one is a bit different. This is THE offer that deWeaver wanted. This is his dream school. This isn't Crawford saying he grew up a fan, this is Shane Morris looking to commit to Michigan from day one. deWeaver will be a solid pick up. It also means I'll have to get used to starting sentences in lowercase when I'm talking about him... or is it Him?

As well but who knows anymore? Really. Some kids are like the type you say he is. They'd come in regardless of ranking and be a career backup before leaving, etc. Yet, say Hoke doesn't get 2015. Who can you say for sure that this (or any kid that far off) wouldn't look at options? I agree with his sentiment because that's my general recruiting sentiment now. Until they are here I no longer care or even want to know who we landed our missed on. Anything but that is an exercise in futility, IMO. I used to be a mega-recruit follower though. I actually have pretty deep connections in SE MI, NW/SW & Central OH. I had to tell my old (current on their end) coaching buddies to stop giving me info, ha. I look back now and the fact that I knew Pharaoh Brown was not in the class anymore weeks before any site/person even speculated on it makes me feel creepy. Same for A. Washington's "literally couldn't pay me to go to UM" stance when many thought we had a shot if he only made good on his constantly falling through visit plans, etc. I'm just done with it so YAY & GO BLUE (!) but I'll care when he signs and is on the field or sideline. Could care less what a kid half my age says or does anymore lol. I'm getting old. Get off my lawn. /end of wishing recruiting sites never existed speech

that I wish this site had a recruiting only board. I don't look at rumor posts at all and can't come here (or anywhere) to talk CFB without seeing "hello" or "goodbye" posts. I was being pretty facetious, btw. No anger but a wish to just not be so far up teenagers business...like 12ish years ago. So, on an hello post I look and see a guy say he didn't care. I see SC guarantee it's a sure thing. I respectfully disagree as that's part of why I stopped openly following recruiting. Not really a case of "and yet you're posting" as it's more of a plea for sanity.
