Wow...Michigan has already picked up two of the top kids in Ohio for the 2018 class, after not having anyone in Ohio in their most recent class.  That's insane and awesome...

And very much planned.  Michigan waited until they had a product to sell and enough time to develop the relationships before going into Ohio and going head to head with OSU in their own backyard.

There are places where Buckeye fans dwell where the news of a recruit from the state of Ohio ending up at the University Of Michigan would be a drop in the bucket compared to the level of fucked up in their immediate surroundings, but I do like that we're now going to take them on in their own recruiting backyard now.

Maybe when they wake from their meth-induced naps and take a break from the incest they will hear about this and feel even worse. Which will perpetuate their meth habits--as well as the incest--creating a terrible cycle.

We are contributing to Ohio's meth and incest empidemics :(

Harbaugh took notice to people saying hes hardly taken anyone out of Ohio.

So he gets a composite 5* TE to go along with a highly touted LB. NBD for Jim.

We discussed it on another site and initially I was rebuked, but it was due  in most part to  a misunderstanding on the part of other poster who, based on his response, I determined  was pretty much sold on a belief that only one TE could be on  the field at a time and considered the number of TEs we had on our roster was ridiculous when there are other obvious holes to  fill. Even went so far as to saying it is the most useless position on the offense and all you need there are two capable blockers.  Made me wonder if he had watched any of our games last season. But that is perhaps the greatest thing about sports, any of them. Doesn't matter if you actually played, the revenue generated by all of them indicate their mass appeal.

He said it sounded like I was suggesting Harbaugh was devising a "Miracle" offensive formation based on multiple TEs and if such an offensive attack were viable some other genius would have thought of it by now. Of course, I asked him how many times he saw the spread offense prior to 15-20 years ago and if he had even seen the wishbone prior to Switzer running it at OU. I knew the answers. I asked if he has seen the commonly used W. Coast offense prior to Bill Walsh introducing it?

I told him we currentlly had 10 and a FB that was as TE last season. I agreed with him this is a very high number, but I had to point out that many  of our most recently recruited TEs had similar skilll sets, outstanding speed for that position and the fact that one of those - Eubanks- stated Jay showed him ways they were planning to use the TE that he didn't even think were possible.

Now obviously, all these young men are not going to stay at the TE position, and that's the beauty of securing athletes of this type, big, strong, fast, capable of playing multiple positions. I had to, though, show him some of the ways UM could line up on offense that would force an immediate T.O. by the DC of opposing team just to figure out how in the hell he was going to try to stop it. I mentioned if we lined up with a TE wide, another 6'7" near him, a yard back, and just for good measure, slip another behind them, roughly same size, and with all three being eligible and a necessary counter move on the part of the DC. Now we have the field tipped, so we might as well go all out and throw another 6'7" 255 pounder wide, to the  weak side, also running at about a 4.7 forty clip, giving him- the  DC - something else to consider. I fgured under these circumstances we'd get a T.O. on his part and when we went back on the field, he could see the same alignment but Jim might have changed his mind and decided with the likely changes he was going to see on defense, he might want to go with his primary formation.

I have no idea what Jim's plans are but I said he's reluctant to pass on these type of athletes and for as difficult as they seem to be to  find, he has found quite a number of like-sized individuals, BIG - and faster than many others their size. Of course, some will fill holes on the other side of the ball, but I mentioned also when asked if Wheatley were going anywhere else, Jim was quite adamant in stating he was staying at T.E., I also mentioned if there were a coach today that would be willing to attempt to use a Heavy package, one that would create an immediate mismatch at so many spots, who, other than Leach, possibly,  would be willing to  do it? "Our coach is known for being somewhat unconventional, in  case you have forgotten."

I really have no idea, not a clue where these young men are going to end up, but I really like Jim's thinking in this regard. If you grab athletes along, of course, with your necessary silll players for the db, RB, QB, wideouts, etc., especially when not only capable but do play multiple positions, it's a very wise move that creates depth at multiple positions with the same amount of scholarshipls. But, Damnit, we will see the Heavy package. I know it.

This is a big one! Nice to get two 5*s early to help build the rest of the class. He and McCaffrey should be able to reel in some more great players. Real Recognize Real.
