Hello: Faith Canfield

Submitted by MGoSoftball on

Before I head out for today's game in the ice and cold, I wanted to bring highlight the second player of the 2014 singing class to sign a NLI for the Softball Team and Coach Hutch.  She is Faith Canfield from Pacifica High School in Garden Grove, California.  She is another on the long list of greats that come from the Orange County, Califorina region.  The pipeline continues......

Faith is listed as a Utility player and bats from the right side.  Faith batted .402 with 35 RBIs and .598 slugging percentage.  She is a All-State selection.  Her travel team has won the National Championship for 4 straight years so she know how to win.  She helped her HS team win the Divison 1 State Championship this past spring as well.

Welcome to the family, Faith.  Good luck with your studies and on the field performance.  Remember to stop at Briarwood and get yourself a winter coat and some boots.  You just might need them.  We all look forward to 4 great years at Alumni Field.

I'm happy for Faith and Michigan softball.  But MGoSoftball, someone politely suggested that you put a "(softball)" in these thread titles - before others impolitely suggested it - and there's no reason for you not to do it.  There's less ambiguity when the name is Faith than when it's Alex, but still.

Again, though, good news and Go Blue.

I said it last week. And I got negged for it by Mr. Softball and all his friends. Yet here he is still doing it. He wants to pretend that all "Hellos" in all UM sports are equal. They're not. And people here want to know before they click. "Hellos" were started only for football and basketball. The staff here didn't do it for any other sports. Users put them up for football and basketball before the staff can get to it too and that's great and exciting. There's no more of let down than when some fan of some sport 10 people care about puts up a "Hello" post without a description of the sport to generate clicks to their little pet sport. Stop doing it. You're not going to get people to care about your favorite non-revenue generating sport. It's not happening. You actually make me dislike it more in fact because of your self-importance.
