the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection
Hello: Erik Bakich new baseball HC
There's no need to be an asshat if it's official now vs. reportedly.

Asshat respone - "Are you serious?!?! Do you ever even read the blog? There's already been a thread on this! LOL LMAO!!!"
A reasonable person informing the OP he was wrong in his assumption that nothing had been posted on this topic - "actually it has been mentioned"
There was nothing douchey about robbyt003's comment, there was, however, something douchey about you calling him out like that for no good reason.
I didn't see that it had been edited. I thought everyone was thinking that reportedly meant official.

The other thread didn't mention that it was official. This one did. I think that makes it "justified" under the "rules" here. I don't know if that makes critics of the post "asshats," but their whining meta comments do sometimes seem to take up more space than the threads themselves.
As for the actual subject, I have mixed emotions here. You never know how someone will do until he gets to Ann Arbor. On the surface, this appears to be a typical Michigan hire for semi-reveune or non-revenue sports: decent coach but not really a stunning pedigree.
In other words, we'll have a much better idea of how good this hire was after a couple of seasons.
and cannot check yesterday's threads I appreciate the update.
So you're saying you took a whole day off from mgoblog? What's wrong with you?
How many stars this coach has?

I'm sorry that I didn't see that something from 40 hours ago was edited.

"I love him, he's a great coach, he's a great mentor, he's a great friend. He's every single thing you want a college coach to be, and he does it flawlessly." -David Molk
...full of fail. Which is quite sad considering the topic. Very impressed with Bakichs' press conf and interview. This has to be the first time in history that a baseball coach singled out a softball coach as an example of how to run a program. Bakich appears to (really) get it.

Yes, I too was very impressed with Bakich. He's very well spoken. He laid out his plan for how he's going to run the program, and it looks like he's not wasting any time moving ahead. Kendall Rogers is reporting that--as expected--Ann Arbor native Sean Kenny will join Bakich at Michigan as pitching coach (same position he had at Maryland) and that Nick Schnabel will be Bakich's hitting coach. Schnabel, like Bakich, is an East Carolina alum and has spent the last three years as an East Carolina coach.

At the time of that post from Brian, the athletic department didn't say that they had officially hired him yet.

No, but he did say tremendous a few times.
"You're fat and you're mine". Bo to Dan Dierdorf.
Good luck with Bakich glad he left maryland. Players dont know what they are getting into. six hour practices, football type weight lifting, screaming at players during game if they make outs in critical situations, calling players pussies. Cares about grades, thats a joke check out Maryland baseball players academic standing, see how many seniors graduted last two year.
He is full of energy (and a whole lot of something else), will raise money by getting people to drink the kool-aide and he will recuit good players. In game manager, you will see soon enough.
Current and ex players desroying him on twitter and facbook, calling him a traitor. He had no intention of building the Maryland program and he will do the same at Michigan jumping ship at the next high profile baseball job.
Cant blame him for taking the money: what is Michigan thinking. He hasnt won anything at Maryland
I'm REALLY pleased with the 2012 recruiting class coming in, it was a good one by Maloney's staff. I know this is a thread about Bakich, but just wondering, do you guys think that Maezes will be the starting shortstop over Dylan Delaney next year? Another possibility is he could be the starting catcher, I mean we lost Crank since he's a senior, and the catching situation isn't the greatest at the moment. What do you guys think?

actually it has been mentioned
