Don't know if this was mentioned or not, but 247 had an article about the flip that wasn't behind a pay wall (link below). Sounds like the kid jumped at the opportunity once he was finally offered. I'm glad to have him on the team. It also seems like he's yet another high character kid that Hoke is bringing in given that he's part of the LIfting As We Climb/Maximum Exposure program.

Dennis Norfleet is the kid I wanted to play with in college since day one! He is literally the most dynamic football player in the nation!

Since Dunn has been out of the picture for a while, and since Drake is something of a project, why would they wait this long to offer a 4-star like Norfleet?

Since we don't oversign like the SEC, we had to go after position priorities.  I am sure the coaches really liked him all along, but they had to look at other areas to fill.  When those did not pan out with the expected quality, he moved up the list.  Just like the NFL draft process.

It's not the size mates, it's how you use it.

This is great. Welcome aboard. I will be happy as long as we keep everyone else. If we get one more, awesome. If not, then at least we have one more shot at another great talent on Friday.

How many guys here are concerned about Michigan recruiting, raise your hands? OK, that's everyone, you go in the back and talk about it, I'll just stand up here looking like a jackass and continue to alienate 90% of the high school football coaches in this state.

My favorite part of his tape is when he actually looks like he's going to get chased down from behind on the first kick return, but then he Chuck Testa's the dude and turns on the afterburners. Go Blue!

I love how Michigan is building all this speed. Great answer to the speed SEC schools have on their D's. I've noticed in bowl games that SEC schools can do pretty much what they want on D because of all the speed they have. I'd like to see them run with these guys

kid is ridiculously fast.  I hope he can block, looks like a great 3rd down back and could be great to change gears with him and a power back (hopefully Ty Isaac)

hope this kid can come in and give us a boost at PR immediately. Sounds like he's compact, shifty and dynamic with ball in hand...Which we've lacked in return game for a while. Also, think Drake Johnson with size/speed combo could make a difference in the KR game. Our special teams have been lackluster at best for years.

Congrats young man...GO BLUE!

Wait, so how can we possibly spin this one because you KNOW msu fans will bring up academics. We claimed Burbridge and Pittman weren't pursued because of academics, but Norfleet is even more sketchy.

I think he had a low ACT, but then retook it and is fine now.  Thats what I read somewhere.  No reason to worry about it.  And to guy that is worried about Sparty's opinion, just remind him of the value of the degree Norfleet will earn vs. the one Sparty did.

He's like Jeremy Gallon, but faster.  Two things I noticed about Dennis:

1) He runs with above average horizontal balance.  This smoothness usually is a good indicaor the runner does well on wet and/or slippery surfaces.  The other part of this is the runner's ability to cut using the heel rather than the forefoot, but I can't really tell this from his videos.

2) He uses a gliding gait that gives a deceptive appearance.  Of course this may cause defenders to take wrong angles and figure defender over confident in catching the runner, especially as the games drags in later quarters.

This commitment may be a very good addition for Michigan in the return game and in slot receiver play.
