Hello: Chris Clark
Yes, link is to a post that says this:
Chris Clark has committed to Michigan
Also, his rivals profile was changed accordingly.
I take back all I said about we may not get another blue chipper without winning the East this year. Hopefully his committment here means more than it did at North Carolina. Hail to Brady Hoke and staff for a masterful job.
TURN DOWN FOR ^^^^^^^^
WAAAAAHHHOOOOOO!!!!! POSBANG ENGAGE!!!
HUGE pickup at a position of need. #1 in the country. BOOYAH!
In honor of North Carolina, I'm taking my shirt off and swinging it around my head like a helicopter.
C'mon and RAISE UP!
in honor of north carolina im going to take fake classes and have other people write my papers for me
Roy Williams has no idea what you are talking about
Hell yeah! Welcome aboard!
Big fuck you to all the bloggers on here saying Urbz was going to out recruit Clark and others
2014...i like you again...for now anyways! Great pick up!
TE's are so damn important in winning team's offenses! Yes
All your giant TEs are belong to us.
Nice get. Especially after his other visits.
Welcome Mr. Clark and Go Blue!!
Butt, Bunting, Clark and maybe Wheatley Jr. too. With all that height I say Hail Marys every throw!!!!
With another year of big A.J. Williams blocking and Heitzman too. Legit TE depth in 2015 and beyond.
Funchess and Moe Ways in the slot. Runts.
following a Sparty visit. Nothing like seeing the two schools in person to get the contrast
And a day after this, lol.
The problem with Twitter is the 140 character limit. He meant to say "coach d is the man who I will not be committing to play for a few hours from now."
The man who'll have to defensively scheme a way to stop UM TEs...
the words michigan state and coach d not being capitalized. Whether intentional or not I like it.
Take that Urbz!
Lets get it baby! #GoBlue
keep 'em coming, I like this turn of events!!!
Chris Clark, COME ON DOWN!!!! You're our next commitment!
Michigan has been terrific at pulling in high quality TEs since Hoke got here. Great pickup. Welcome, Chris! You've made a great decision!
Yay, awesome news!!! I saw something on twitter earlier this week about how his Ohio State visit couldn't have gone better (not something he tweeted, a recruiting guru or someone) so I was anxious to see how his Michigan visit would go. Did not think he would commit! Welcome to Michigan, Chris!
Really excited about the possibility of Clark playing at Michigan! I just have to stay calm and think positive thoughts. Here's hoping the wandering eye--so helpful when exhibited down at N.C.--never returns!
People in the know are saying that he committed to NC without his family's approval and they are 100% behind Michigan
Speak it, bro! Now that is what I like to hear! In Clark we have the antipode to the Campbell commitment . . . .
The more TEs the better. Now we just need to win 10 games next year.
She just seems so.......happy.
He wasjust at MSU yest and Rexrode retweeted him "unreal day at MSU" ...so my Sparty friends told me they had him. lol.
His offer list is Outstanding! Awesome news!
Being the No. 1 TE (per Scout) tends to lead to a lot of great offers... and hopefully a great career
I love camp season! Welcome Mr. Clark! May you block all the people and catch all the passes! Go Blue!
The tide is already shifting.
Hell, people in Connecticut are starting to believe Hoke. Jerseys may start selling like hot cakes.
Sweet! Huge pick up!
Will all be giants. I like it.
That Wile has been at Michigan for a while. Unless it's a younger Wile I don't know about.
Nah, Space Coyote was voiced by Johnny Cash while Wile E. Coyote (if he ever talked) was voiced by Mel Blanc.
Well that's really good news, any idea on how many spots we have left?
From 247 article on why he committed today:
"Just the fact I want to have the opportunity to recruit at The Opening," Clark said, "I want to let people know I'm at Michigan and I'd like to tell people they're building big things at Michigan and tell them to be part of it.
"I just feel so good at Michigan. I thought it would be a great day to do it with my mom and dad here."
I am starting to get hopeful for next year.
I am LOVING the staff's TE recruiting
With all due respect to Heck - and I love the attitude - most of the negativity is coming from East Lansing and Columbus. Take care of business and it all goes away. This team has a ton of talent, now it's up to the coaches.
Awesome commit with Clark. Anyone else think he may grow into tackle?
Take a look at the ESPN thread from yesterday where posters discussed how Michigan would not get another elite recruit this cycle. The negativity nearby.
Someone hasn't stopped by the 400+ comment "Confessions of a Michigan Football Fan" thread... The negativity is definitely in our own backyard
There's plenty of positivity too, but there's plenty of negativity because of the lack of winning. It has nothing to do with recruiting. Win games, beat MSU and OSU, and it all goes away. It feels nice to win a recruiting battle here and there, but not as nice as victories on the field. I am in the camp that thinks the current staff gets it all sorted out once the o-line gets some years under their belt, but that we are still probably another year away from that. Then all this leadership, player development, recruiting momentum talk all quiets and this stuff just takes care of itself.
Except I think the O-Line goes from flaming tire fire with legendarily tough quarterback to annoying but serviceable with legendarily tough quarterback and passable running game. With the development of the defense (which will be a wrecking crew) you're looking at 9 wins. If, and its a big if, Hoke gets 9 wins and this thing really gets rolling over the next few years there's going to be a lot of happy people in the fanbase because we haven't seen this level of accumulated talent since mid-Carr era.
Agreed, and I hope you're right on the o-line point. I try not to let myself get too optimisitc to avoid the disapointment. I hate even seeing myself write that because that's an awful psychology to have, but it's the truth. I agree the defense should be pretty good. I simply don't see how guys like Pipkins, Charlton, Ross, Gedeon, RJS, Wilson, Countess, Lewis, Thomas, Peppers, on defense, and Morris, Green, Isaacs, Funchess, Butt, Canteen, Harris, Kalis, Kugler, Dawson, Bosch, Cole etc. are not absolutely lights out in the very near future. There is top talent at every position across the board.
Honestly I feel we have 10 win talent. Anything less is a disappointment. I'm not calling for Hoke's head, it's just that we need to beat our rivals. No excuses.
I'd like to see the bar set based on big 10 wins. IIRC, Bo and Carr never had losing seasons in the big 10. No matter who was on those teams or how young they were. Since, then we've only had 2 winning seasons. That has to change this year. No excuses.
Sparty and OSU thought they had a chance. Not so fast you filthy animals.
keep the change, you filthy animals
Lets start freaking winning now.
He loved the airing of the grievances!!!
And I really love the tweet with Dantonio only a couple days ago.
But enough of my foolish obsession, welcome to Michigan young man!
Welcome aboard Chris.
So Hoke still has recruits commit in pairs. We'll done Coach
And with this commitment, Michigan is currently tied with PSU at #5 (#6 for you purists) in avg. class rank on Rivals. Just thought I would point that out.
we would be a close third behind only USC and Alabama.
Nevermind. Welcome to the Michigan family Mr. Clark!
MOAR TIGHT ENDS!!!!
Between Clark, Ty Isaac, and having our QB of 2016, I must say that I am feeling....what's the word.....I had it at the Sugar Bowl....it's so rare nowadays.....oh right, POSITIVE about Michigan football!!!
Welcome aboard, sir. Happy to have you here.
Have to be honest, though, when I say that I don't care who we recruit, as long as we find ways to win some damn football games.
Well, whether Hoke makes it past this season or not, the next coaching staff will have a well stocked cabinet
and 2016 recruits to decommit. There can also be attrition in the other classes. I'd suggest we look for success on the field instead of foolishly thinking there are no negative effects to a coaching change.
Yippee ki yay...$&+%@*?(&-)#
That's what the fuck I'm talking about!
Does he stay a TE through his Michigan career? In his film he looks pretty solid as a defenseive prospect (6'6' 247). Quick note - J.J. Watt was listed at nearly identical size as Clark as a recruit (6'6' 240), played TE his freshman year at Central Michigan. Just a note.
He's staying at TE, he's perfect for our offense.
This is a super pickup for the MaizenBlue! Welcome to Ann Arbor, Mr. Clark!
The best TEs are good at blocking AND catching as you never know from the defense side what is going to happen (as opposed to the platoon system where its sort of a dead giveaway pass or run useage) and by all accounts that's what we have here!
Funny how recruiting can go thru these long dead periods where fans get to wringing and wronging and then the gates open up! I am suitably impressed about how this class has filled out. Love the way the commits seek to recruit other skilled players to come join them.
(Heck seems to have his finger on the pulse of the millstone other programs are trying to tie around our neck but I do truly believe Michigan will rise again).
Is the staff still pursuing him? If so, do they see him at tight end or defensive end?
