Essentially, we recognize that every now and then [the state of] Ohio produces something worthwhile- which we proceed to rescue by bringing it back up north.

More seriously, anybody that frequents this blog knows all of the important coaches and athletes that have come to Michigan from Ohio.  We recognize that without pilfering the buckeye state, Michigan wouldn't be in the position it is today.  We accept this though because by doing so we hurt our mortal enemies not only be depriving them of strength but by then using that same strength against them.

Thus, we appreciate Ohio- as long as it's the bits of Ohio that have had enough sense to move up north.

I, an many other MGoBloggers, enjoy the perspective of a rational OSU fan.  Thus, I'd encourage you to keep posting.

Haha, nah.  If I got offended by comments like "you poop in a cooler" then it would likely mean that I do, in fact, poop in a cooler and hate being called out on it.

Disclaimer--I don't poop in coolers.

Eh, just all in fun. Everyone here realizes the importance of Ohio to successful football, and that goes for the entire Midwest too. But we can still make fun; all part of the rivalry. And obviously, when a native son of Ohio decides to attend the University of Michigan, they transcend the existence of an "Ohioan" and elevate to another, greater, plane in the universe.

A good point. I would also like to point out that for probably 99% of the rest of the world, no distinction is made between the states of Michigan and Ohio. They're just failing rust belt states where it's vaguely cold and the people there are kinda the same.

Just sayin' from an outside perspective.

Kid has impressive acceleration to the ball carrier. Might be making reads a hair slowly, but damn he brings the wood once he locks on

He is absurdly fast for his size.  He is breaking runs and out-pacing CBs and Ss.  And he's still just a junior?  He has Brian Urlacher athleticism potential.

Quite frankly, it isn't fair for a man that size to be that fast.

says he is a high-character kid and very smart academically.  It also says academics played a role in his decision, which help explains his migration out of Ohio.  Great get.  Welcome Ben!!!

He commits after his Stanford visit and before Levenberry visits.

Hopefully Levenberry feels the pressure from Michael Hutchins renewed interest.

I think the coaches are trying to recruit 3 linebackers in each class..one for each position. They did last year and it seems to be what they are trying to do this year.

AWESOME!!! He is probably one of the most important recruits this yr for many reasons.

1. OHIO guy who choose us.

2. Meyer wanted him bad.

3. Shows the Ohio kids that Mich is a better place for those guys.

4. Gonna be a beast.

5. Big time prospect and a great kid

6. HE SPURNED THE BUCKEYES!

7. Another example of kids seeing through Meyer and his slick talking crap.

I really believe Meyer thinks those "Midwest" kids are stupid and can't see through his games. Hopefully Treadwell Isaac and the others see this too!!

Welcome to the Wolverines!

It has been a while since a "Hello:" post, I believe - nice to have one in this post-Easter week as a late addition to Michigan's Easter basket. It's great to see that we can win the battle in Columbus' backyard with some consistency yet again.

No Denard and Roy dancing?

I remember about a year ago Sam Webb doing a recruiting article on DetNews about this stud linebacker from Ohio, Ben Gedeon. Little did I know at the time he would eventually be a verbal committment to Michigan. Awesome to see it finally happen.

Now my head can spin on Saturday!
