Hello: ATH/FB Chase Lasater (FL)
Officially committed to the University of Michigan ! #wolverine #goblue #big10 @CoachJim4UM
LB/DE/TE/FB from Jacksonville, Florida. (FB likely per mgofish)
God bless Fullbacks! Great pick up, hopefully one of many in the next 2 days.

I would only want to take 1 or 2 FBs max every cycle....gotta have room for TEs.
Haha should have clarified that I meant general commits and not just fullback commits. Although TE's are to Jimmy as FB's are to myself. Love em.
Wasn't buckled, don't care!
Welcome, Chase!
Yeah, there won't be much on a fullback. But we use them and need more so this is great!
That's possible, but I wouldn't say "probably." Harbaugh would take a scholarship FB, and this kid has D1 offers, plus he's out of state. PWOs usually announce after signing day.

exactly! this is a harbaugh type player. Just a football player who will find a spot on the feild. And based on the film, has a nasty attitude, which I love
He's "not rated" by the big boys, but does anyone really think the services are smarter than Harbaugh?
From what we know of Harbaugh, we can guess that, at the very least, Lasater is extremely competitive, "brings it" on the field and has a good "football mind." Harbaugh knows exactly what and who he is looking for on his team.
LB/DE/TE/FB? Yep, that sounds like a Harbaugh player to me.

First series of the game. Took the energy right out of the stadium, and they never got it back. The one play that could have - the long TE reception down the sideline early, ended with both players hurt. The downtime for injury response again stole all the energy from the building. After that, it was me and about 5000 other UM fans that carried the volume! What a great day that was...
His highlights look like an explosive demolisher of worlds. Will be a fun upperclassmen FB to watch
I don't think I'm going to get too attached to the lower-regarded recruits during this recruiting cycle.
Maybe don't get attached to any higher ranked recruits either. I mean, Swenson was a 4 star. Devery Hamilton was a 4 star. Jordan Elliot was a 4 star.
Google this young man's name . Quite a surprising story pops up. It seems as though he experienced a horrific family tragedy in Jacksonville. I don't want to put any details up I may be wrong but it looks to be him. Someone else could confirm ?
Agreed.

I read the same. I live in Florida and vaguely recall something about that. Hopefully, a tragedy like that doesn't get dredged up too much for the young man.
Man oh man thats a tough one. guess you could say that its good to see this kids life on an apparent positive track. pretty easy to imagine another direction..
very similar, I can tell you the family member involved wasn't just embraced and supported by immediate family. Actually, the entire community came together not to just support her but the entire family. Couple of very difficult years, as you can imagine, but what could have caused an easy to understand choice to take a different path never occurred and the support of family, expected obviously, might have not been enough. But the support of an entire community made, I think, all the difference.
Did I read somewhere that he wanted a shot at LB? And that he had ~ no offers?
Regardless, welcome young fella.
247 shows offers from Troy and Charlotte. And I'm OK with him getting a shot at LB.
How many big time offers did JMFR have? I wonder how much the incident five years ago has impacted the dearth of offers.
What is the link? I couldn't find anything about him on 247. All I found about him was Hudl ad MaxPreps
It's at http://247sports.com/Player/Chase-Lasater-90807. Pretty thin so far, probably because Michigan was the first big offer.
for double TE and 2 RB formations that turn in to 5 wide pre-snap in coming years. Wheatley & Co are going to create matchup Havoc. (The good kind, not the VCU kind)
Great to see our staff working to free up talent from under the noses of the SEC.
pwo?
under Harbaugh,
tough and smart.
