Hello: Abby Skvarce (sb)

Coach Hutch signed Abby Skvarce from Clarkson High School.  She is a Catcher and two-time all-state honorable mention.  She is also a three-time district and two-time all-league selection.  This is a position of need for the team.

She has a career .452 BA with a .607 Slugging Percentage.  Defensively she has a .962 fielding percentage.  She threw out 31 base runners in 2015.

I have watched Abby since she was a Freshmen and Coached against her in a tournament a few years back.  She has a rocket for an arm and threw out my fastest runner.  As a matter of fact, Abby was the only catcher to throw our my lead-off batter that season.  Her travel teams were the Michigan Bulldogs and Michigan Finesse; both are top-tiered programs in Southeastern Michigan.

Welcome to the family, Abby.  At least you will not have to buy a new winter jacket.

This doesnt make sense. The 2015 recruits (now freshman in school) were all signed before the softball season and before Driesenga even got injured. The 2016 recruits being talked about in this and other post wont even ben in school until Driesenga is already gone. So no recruits decisions in either class could have been affected at all by her. The only thing that could have been affected is allocating scholarship money across existing players.
