Heart Attack Victim At UTL Recovering, Thanks UM Fan

Submitted by Geaux_Blue on

Notre Dame fan suffered heart attack and received CPR immediately by a Michigan dental grad. The fan spent some time recovering but I believe has been discharged per the Channel 4 report airing currently. Thought it worth noting as it had been raised previously and is a great story from the night.

If a Michigan fan had a heart attack in EL or Columbus, would one of their fans do CPR?  One of the coolest things about maybe 60 percent of the MIchigan fanbase is that they know it is just a game, have a sense of honor, and know when to separate real life from fandom.

I was 2 seats in front of him.  He and his sons were being fine.  We had a few ND fans around us, and at the time this happened, they had reason to be talking trash, but nobody was.  In the same respect, no Michigan fans in my section heckled these ND when we pulled off the victory.

There was a great show of sportsmanship during such an event.  Living in Columbus, I've been witness to 'Ohio' v Texas night games.  Stark differences.

Actually one of the three was my friend. He was with his uncle and his cousin at the game. His uncle is a surgeon. When the guy had the heart attack he was out...dead. No pulse or anything. The uncle was apparently pounding on his chest and actually kept him alive until they could bring the defibrillators...pretty crazy.
