DUDE IS SO TALENTED, HE'LL HAVE TO SLOW DOWN NOT TO BE THE FRONT RUNNER, GO BLUE!!!

Hello Heisman!
September 11th, 2010 at 7:48 PM ^
No question!!!!! What a game!!
September 11th, 2010 at 7:48 PM ^
When he can convince everyone he can throw the deep ball. If he can get that down . . . WATCH OUT!!! I hope he can figure it out before November.
September 11th, 2010 at 8:07 PM ^
No, he doesn't even have to do that. He doesn't have to be the most polished QB, or be able to throw every pass to be an NFL quarterback to win the Heisman. He is the most electric and important player in the country right now and that is what the Heisman is all about. Tommy Frazier wasn't the best passer in the country, but he was the best player. That is what DRob is on pace to be if he keeps this up. But like other say, lets keep our heads. It is only week 2. Go Blue!!
September 11th, 2010 at 7:50 PM ^
....absolutely priceless. Perfectly done.
September 11th, 2010 at 7:59 PM ^
Done so well, there was a tshirt in the Mgostore preemptively!
September 11th, 2010 at 7:50 PM ^
Unstoppable.
Just think, the last two drives they didn't score he missed a seam route for a TD and a tough drop by Roundtree that would have been a TD. He could have had 300 yds passing and 200 yds rushing.
September 11th, 2010 at 7:51 PM ^
ONE GAME AT A TIME!
Just keep doing it.....stay focused. We don't need to talk about individual awards, the media will blow that up and continue to blow it up.
Damn, I am so proud of the way the entire Team responded. I can not say enough about how composed the coaches have these guys playing. AWESOME!
CONGRATS to the entire TEAM!!!
September 11th, 2010 at 8:09 PM ^
September 11th, 2010 at 8:32 PM ^
Every time it looked like nd had the momentum, the TEAM stepped up enough to get it done. No panic. No crap. Just playing hard and focused.
I'm loving it!
September 11th, 2010 at 7:51 PM ^
There's no question that he's been the most impressive player in the country in both of the first two weeks and against two quality opponents. If he can replicate those performances as the season goes on, he will certainly be in the Heisman conversation, but more importantly, Michigan will be in good shape in terms of W-L record. Go Blue!
September 11th, 2010 at 7:51 PM ^
I switched over to PSU-Alabama on ESPN after the game and they did their College Update featuring Michigan's win. As they were switching back to the game broadcast, after showing a bunch of Denard highlights, you hear Rece Davis say something like "Can you say Heisman?"
September 11th, 2010 at 7:55 PM ^
For the text 2 games we take a page out of the Tecmo Super Bowl playbook and kneel every KO at the 1. Denard then runs off tackle for 99 yards. As long as he remembers to run diagonally back and forth he'll be good to go.

NTTAWWT.
September 11th, 2010 at 7:57 PM ^
but it would be pretty ridiculous not to be including him on your list (so far) if you're an analyst. On sheer numbers alone.
That said, Jacory Harris and Christian Ponder were supposed to be in the thick of it until this week, so let's take it one (KICKASS) week at a time.
September 11th, 2010 at 7:57 PM ^
If the Heisman trophy was given out after 2 weeks, I'm not sure anyone else would be invited to New York for the announcement.
September 11th, 2010 at 8:19 PM ^
September 11th, 2010 at 7:57 PM ^
will be able to call it a "Heisman race" with a straight face.
September 11th, 2010 at 8:43 PM ^
They'll have to change the name to 'The Dilithium Award'.
September 12th, 2010 at 4:05 AM ^
When Denard's involved, is any race really in question?
Other than against Odoms, of course.
September 11th, 2010 at 8:02 PM ^
Make that shirt. That is awesome.
September 11th, 2010 at 8:02 PM ^
Maybe I missed it but I couldnt find the finale stats. I think Hammond siad Denard had a total of 502 total yards and thats all I heard.
September 11th, 2010 at 8:05 PM ^
Tate was in the same conversation after 2 games last year. Let us all calm down, sit back and enjoy the ride.
September 11th, 2010 at 8:09 PM ^
You'll get penalized for using common sense on here!
September 11th, 2010 at 9:13 PM ^
Denard's not going to end up winning the Heisman (this year), but his play through two weeks has been Heisman-worthy. The guy's set a bunch of school records in two starts. Enjoy it.
September 11th, 2010 at 8:10 PM ^
Awesome game! We should have put them away in the 3rd. 500+ yards of offense from DR against Notre Dame and he deserves all the Heisman talk because there is no player out there that is as explosive as he is. Let them all come! Shoelace is RR's guardian angel, and will end up saving his job.
September 11th, 2010 at 8:31 PM ^
RR will save RR's job, with the coaching help of Rod Smith, McGee, Frye and Dews. Along with the players of course. The Team, The Team, The Team.
Having said that, DENARD BABBY!
September 11th, 2010 at 8:14 PM ^
it seems that both denard and tate can be clutch versus the irish, he punted, he threw, he ran, marked imrpovement from cluth situations last year (i.e. iowa), hes really coming around nicely
September 11th, 2010 at 8:18 PM ^
As of this moment, and barring Daniel Thomas going off in the second half of Kansas State game He16man currently leads the nation in rushing....
September 11th, 2010 at 8:20 PM ^
That last drive was so impressive. Invaluable experience, too. The throw to Roundtree on the two or the td he dropped? Cannot believe how on the money those were. That ND team was no joke, either. They've got some talent.
September 11th, 2010 at 8:24 PM ^
Thanks to the site getting a little wonky after the big win. The one time I DON'T mind Mgoblog being swamped/glitchy!
September 11th, 2010 at 8:24 PM ^
For a Michigan player to win the Heisman, it's a given that he has to have a big game against Ohio State.
We have a ways to go before then.
For now, congrats to Mr. Robinson. The gridiron is his neighborhood, and it's a beautiful day even when it's gray and overcast..

Yeah but D2R2 really is something special.

"He's the most dynamic player I've seen this year. He's the most dynamic player I've seen in a few years."
September 11th, 2010 at 8:58 PM ^
Does RR sit him against UMass just like Tate vs Delaware State last year? That could put a damper on his averages and such...
