That was fast.

Wow. What an idiot.

My sentiment exactly. I mean seriously, how stupid can a guy be?

ROFL! This and O'Leary are the quickest hiring and firings ever
January 1st, 2011 at 6:20 PM ^
That was a shocker. I dont think he even needed to clear out his desk.
January 1st, 2011 at 6:22 PM ^
still waiting for Wanny to finish clearing his desk. Maybe he can help him now and they can get it done faster???
January 1st, 2011 at 6:25 PM ^
Haha, the seat was still warm from wanny when he got fired.
January 1st, 2011 at 6:22 PM ^
That's a slap in the face.

Did he beat out George O’Leary coaching record at ND? I think it was like five days.
Edit: Slow to the type.

This was inevitable

...but not the least bit surprising...how much do you think they would like to pick up RR?...WVU would freak
January 1st, 2011 at 6:27 PM ^
I like Rich Rod and wish him well whether he's here next year (obviously) or not. I hope he wins as many conference championships as he can, no matter where he is. Best case scenario: go to Pitt, win the big east, forget about the shit he's had to go through here at Michigan and enjoy coaching football again.
January 1st, 2011 at 6:28 PM ^
not be surprised at all that if Michigan fires Rich Rod, he would end up at Pitt. He has already shown that he can be a successful head coach in the Big East.

I was about to post this myself just because it wasn't a dam Michigan CC thread. THANK YOU. I need a beer.
January 1st, 2011 at 6:25 PM ^
I wish RR success in the future, but I don't want him coaching anywhere next year because I don't want him trying to poach any of our current players.
January 1st, 2011 at 6:27 PM ^
I'm sure he'll consider this.
January 1st, 2011 at 6:46 PM ^
Nobody followed RR out of WV and I don't think that anybody from Michigan would say, "Hey, I think I will sit out a year and then play for RR at Pitt."
January 1st, 2011 at 6:51 PM ^
I was being sarcastic.
January 1st, 2011 at 6:27 PM ^
Shitt on Pitt.

Worked his ass off, finally crossed the big bridge, burned it down, only to set himself on fire.
January 1st, 2011 at 6:33 PM ^
much like we experienced with Gary Moeller. He will coach again...perhaps in the NFL. Mistakes in life count...just like they do with players.
January 1st, 2011 at 6:51 PM ^
...we're preparing your new office. What kind of wallpaper do you think our next coach would like?"
January 1st, 2011 at 7:07 PM ^
RR on a plane to Pittsburgh
January 1st, 2011 at 7:37 PM ^
Maybe we can split the RR buyout with Pitt?
January 1st, 2011 at 8:03 PM ^
Do you think they will give him his old job back if he calls do-overs? lol
January 3rd, 2011 at 9:21 PM ^
does this mean we can scoop him up now?
