Another B1G award was given to a Michigan player this week. Haylie Wagner was awarded both Pitcher and Freshman of the week. Haylie was "lights-out" this weekend in the FAU Classic. She went 2-0 and threw 14 scoreless innings. What a wonderful performance.
Sara Driesenga won the Freshman of the week earlier this year.
Congrats to Haylie and her family. This is going to be a very special them this year. I hope everyone gets a chance to watch the team this year.
It's a great thing when Michigan has more than one extremely talented pitcher.
Not to throw Spidey under the bus, but sometimes when she got the start things were getting shaky and JT had to come in and save the game. It'll be nice to give Driesenge a rest and know you have a great option in Wagner and vice versa.
