Haylie named B1G Softball Pitcher of the Week.
Haylie was named Pitcher of the Week today. She added 4 more wins to her stats. The most impressive wins were against #14 UCLA and #16 Auburn. She also picked up her first HR as a D1 hitter.
Congrats Haylie. We are so proud of you. Thanks for going Blue and we all look forward to 4 years together.

Just discovered tonight that I'm one degree of seperation from Sara Driesenga. Here's some inside info about her softball career: apparently she's really good, and has been for a long time.

been well known in Michigan Youth Softball since she was 8 or 9. Her family is HUGE UM fans so she committed very early.
Sara is the real deal for sure. I watched her pitch in a tourney that I was at. She is smooth like Johnny Walker Black. She will only get better as she learns the game at the highest level. My prediction is that all 3 freshman will make All-American at some point in their M career.
Would it be hard for two pitchers to gain All-America status, being in the same class and all?
but it has been done before. I would expect one to make 1st team and another to make 2nd or 3rd team.
she had a hell of a weekend wow. Good for her getting those two huge wins over ranked teams is gonna give her a lot of confidence over the rest of the season.
I hope to catch them for a game or two in Fullerton next week. ASU and Oklahoma both look like tough games. I am especially interested in how Hutch makes use of all these good pitchers.
