Hawaii Bowl
Enjoying some Saint Arnold Christmas Ale and watching the lovely weather they're having in Hawaii. I'm also left wondering what's going on with my bowl pick'em. What was I thinking leaving my pick with Nevada when they're missing their two top HBs and have an extremely suspect pass defense against SMU, a team that's almost an air raid type team.
SMU 14, Nevada 0 early.

Yeah I am 1-4. You never know though because the last 2 games, teams were down 14-0 and ended up winning both of those times. That is why I'm kind of scared for my SMU pick.

I'm 1-4 and unless Nevada can turn it around, I'll be 1-5.

that makes 3 of us

I'm pretty sure you're safe with that pick.

Yeah I'll be 1-5 and if Marshall doesn't win i'm really screwed.

Good luck with their turnover-prone offense and Ohio's best-in-the-country turnover defense (36).

Definitely wish I knew they lost their starting nickelback as well. Argh, SMU sounds like a MUCH BETTER pick now.

I was regretting my SMU pick because i was the only one to pick them in my pool but it's looking good

smu has the junior world record holder in shotput and discuss playing DE them who only knew football from madden before last year...how can u not pick them

Their best player on their team got drafted last year. I went to high school with him. Great punter. Booming for the Saints these days.

I think I am speaking for everybody here when I say I have no idea what you just said.

SMU has a Junior who holds the world record in shotput. He discussed playing DE with somebody who only knew football from madden before last year. THIS is why you had to pick them.
If only I had known this before I picked Nevada to win...

Yes this is what I was trying to say. Thanks for clarifying. Its a pretty cool story. The guy is a world junior champion in discus and shot put and he went to SMU to train with their track and field coach. He couldnt afford the tuition so he was going to transfer but he decided to give football a try to stay there. He had 4 weeks to train for a workout with Jones and at that workout he was given a scholarship. Apparently he has really embraced football and has quite a bit of potential if he stays with it

You could be laying 11-point chalk with Nevada. FML
Looks like 3-3 vs the spread for me in these pre-Xmas bowl games at the JCB.
Silver lining is 2-1 in double plays, but man, between Oregon State and Nevada, those are some shitty picks just in the last 48 hours or so.

Yeah, I checked you guys and saw nothing about the missing two running backs, much less the suspended nickelback. That would have backed me away from an 11 pt spread. I might have settled around Nevada -3.

wow my chance of winning any money just went down the shitter I'm 2-3 with huge amounts of points on all three losers

Good to see that Run and Shoot work; it bodes well for what RR has evolved it into.
