Have bowl practices started?
Saw a bit about FSU starting their practices, which included some complimentary words from the new $44 million man.
I imagine Christmas camp would probably have to get started soon.

He was quite complimentary of Michigan and I think very sincere about it too.

Sincere....from the same coach that let jameis be jameis, well he might be in my jim tressel sincere and honest hof:
"Because of the character assassination that he's lived through in the media, and the (misinformation) and half-truths that have been printed. What amazes me about this whole process is the unprofessionalism of a lot of major newspapers, and a lot of major outlets that did not report the whole truth of the situation and only slanted it for their own opinion." - Jimbo "sincere" Fisher

that some posters were making fun of Jimbo in an earlier thread. Might have a WV accent, but very quick football mind.

Yes.
You're allowed 15 practices and the game is in 11 days.

It was last year's title game. Alabama had unlimited time to practice, while Clemson only got 20 hours/week due to their semester starting.
December 20th, 2016 at 7:55 AM ^
I bellieve Clemson was given a waiver to practice more. I thought it was funny, being "student" athletes and all. They let the kids in class practice more instead of restricting the kids that weren't yet in class to practice less.
NCAA, man...

Because they knew there were no kids actually in class.

I knew the 20 hr/week rule, just always heard the 15 practice thing tied to bowls. I would have known better if I ever got to practice for a bowl lol. Thanks for the correction.

Harbaugh is calling it "Christmas Camp" and it is going to be run similar to the how he ran spring and fall camp.

They can surface through ice, too. I've done it...

There was a story out today about how they've tried to make bowl practices much more about the younger players on the team than the outgoing players, which is cool and gives them some nice experience and momentum going into the offseason and then so on into next season.
It sounds like they are making these practices an early audition of sorts for next season, which makes me think they like what they have.

Do you know what school?
Please say St. Thomas Aquinas.

He said college. Guessing FIU, since they don't have bowl practice.

Florida. We beat them so badly last year that they're too scared to tell us we can't practice in their stadium.
December 19th, 2016 at 9:18 PM ^
Maybe you mean bowl prep on the field, I don't know what they did on the field today, but they practiced from 2 to 6 and then had about 2 hours of FSU film study, which I think of as bowl prep, not sure if they do.
