Hats off to Ohio

Maybe it is human nature that I want the team that beat us to look good afterward, but this Ohio team really showed what they are about. Congratulations to them on an amazing tournament run.

Ohio beat a Michigan team that couldn't have thrown the ball into an open tailgate on Terrelle Pryor's Escalade that night, and then a South Florida team that would have had  trouble hitting the Gulf of Mexico from eight feet.  Then, they played a UNC team that obviously misses their PG.  Meanwhile, Ohio had two or three kids who hit more shots than they did all year.

They are a decent MAC team that played three decent games.  They shot over 50 percent against Michigan, won shooting 39.5 percent against South Florida, and lost shooting 32.4 percent against UNC.

And what does that get them?  Their coach will become a "hot" candidate during "silly season."

I might give them mild congratulations, but my hat is staying on my head this time.

Fuck Ohio...and no, making it this far did not make anyone feel better about the basketball teams loss...Ohio won a GRAND TOTAL of 2 games in the tournament and couldn't beat an injury riddled UNC team! I don't care how good or highly ranked UNC is either. Any team w/ those personnel losses should lose in the Sweet 16 but they didn't because Ohio is terrible and WE lost to them!

This Ohio squad was made for upsets.  Walter Offutt was a top-100 ranked player coming out of high school, and DJ Cooper is an experienced stud.  They beat Georgetown two years ago and many of the same guys from that team are still on this Ohio squad.  Most of all, they played aggressive and smart.  Hats off indeed.

Listen rockydude...Take this way off topic thread and shove it up your candy ass. It's human nature as a Wolverine fan to hate all things ohio. What is your problem doggie?

would've been the DJ Cooper we saw in the first round. He had a real rough night with decision making. All in all that coach is headed for a big time job if he keeps up the coaching that he's doing. Does Illinois have a coach yet? He has to be in consideration for the job. Did anyone see the locker room meetings and in-game interviews he had? Very promising coach who is a spitting image (coach-wise) of Thad Matta.
