Has everyone received their copy of "Hail to the Victors"

Submitted by FL_Steve on

Hello all you MGoblogers,

I have not recieved my signed issue of "Hail to the Victors" and was curious about the status of your orders. I live in Chicago, and thought that might attribute to the delay in recieiving the magazine. I was hoping to have it in time to take it to the fan day next weekend. Any feedback you can offer would be helpful.

Thank you

I have not received my copy of HTTV yet either! I think it might have something to do with me not ordering one in the first place, but I choose to ignore that fact.

There's an email address you can use to inquire about the status of your order.  I believe it is [email protected]

I would double check that address first, though.  Seth mentioned it in the previous threads and it has been posted in front page posts as well.  I think emailing UP will be more productive than surveying others.

that I did just as you did, and they told me also to e-mail in a week if I hadn't gotten it.  I waited a couple of extra days after the week passed and e-mailed them again.  They kindly said they'd UPS'd me another copy and gave me a tracking #.  Naturally I got the mail copy the very next day.  (Yesterday.)

I picked up one in person at the release party, and the other one with my fabulous Brian photobomb shirt came about three weeks later. I live only 20 minutes from Ann Arbor, so that might seem a bit slow, but there have been some issues which were not the fault of Seth or Brian or others from my understanding, so I won't complain. It's a growing enterprise and you learn from these experiences.

Still, it does make me wonder how the process was structured, and hopefully this is taken in the spirit of constructive criticism - there were people that live farther away than I do that received their order before I did, if I am not mistaken, and the shirt might be the deciding factor in some of that (I know that adding the shirt slowed some orders, which is totally understandable). I wonder if, in the future, UPS Ground might be an option for these. Cross country shipping is about a week max and if you can get a sizeable number of them out each day, that might smooth out the delivery rate somewhat.

Unsigned, about 2-3 weeks ago.

For those of you that havent recieved I would email the address posted above, the only way Brian/Seth can help is if you let them know.

I sent a couple e-mails and finally got mine about 2 weeks ago - but it wasn't signed.

Despite the Kickstarter program working well, the delivery was kind of a cluster...

It is a great read and is getting me more pumped for the season. Go Blue!

...oh yeah - just picked up my season tickets from a friend today. 9/1/12 can't get here soon enough!

I have been reading it from page 1 and it's a great read.  A lot of great info and there are a couple of interesting stories in the final pages.

Definitely a good investment.

Got my signed copy with a note from Brian:

"Sorry I folded your cover."

Cover was slightly creased. Got a note from Brian!

If you haven't gotten the one you ordered yet; I hope it arrives soon

If you haven't ordered one yet; I advise that you do.  There's a lot of stuff.  Don't be left out of the conversation.

I received two copies, & a t-shirt, a couple weeks ago in the Chicago area. However, I didn't ask for Brian to sign, which may have speeded things up (I can imagine writer's cramp from thousands of signatures.) From what has been said, I think there has been a significant learning curve for Brian and Seth on what it takes to make a venture like this work (from design, to design changes, to non-standard design, to printers, to capital outlay, to mailing, to hidden "gotcha" add on fees.) My guess is they will eliminate a lot of the problems in the next go-round.

Oh, and my t-shirt didn't fit. I should've expected that, but there's a reasonable solution for me:  lose weight. So, wanting to wear a shirt is helping me to shed pounds. Just saying, XL and XXL mean different things to different mfgs. I have another shirt from this summer that fits like a tent. Sigh.

I had never gotten the survey so I emailed UGP my address (didn't get a response), emailed Brian (got quick response) and my copy was delivered by UPS 2 hours later!

It's taking me quite a while to get through however.
After I read each page I tear it from it's binding and begin consuming it, chewing meticulously.
For some reason the special teams section I just finished was particularly delicious.

UGP email for status/shipping inquiries:  [email protected]

Double secret ain'tgotnosatisfaction Brian emai:  [email protected]

make sure you put HTTV in the subject.

There were multiple kickstarter update emails & I believe the all-important address survey email was #4.

Brian got back to me litereally within minutes  (granted I threatened his housepets).

I emailed UGP about mine on Monday. Good thing I did since they didn't have a record of my kick starter donation. We got it figured out and they UPSd mine right away. Finally arrived on Thursday!

Got my unsigned copy a week and a half ago. I signed Denard's name myself. For other oldies out there it is jammed with very well written articles in size 6 tiny font..
