Looking forward to seeing some Mike Hart carries and touchdowns today. I'm keeping my eyes on him so I can (EDIT: see) his pass blocking as well.
Hart MNF Open Thread
I hope he has a good game. I'm confused about what you want to do to his pass blocking?
How he pass blocks for Peyton will go a long way towards him getting more touches and becoming a more consistent fixture on their offense. More 30yd runs will also help his case.
nice run by hart on his first carry of the game
"Mike Hart looks just like he did at Michigan" -Gruden
Definitely miss Mike Hart.
We need his beast mode that he is in right now to come back and teach our RB's how to break tackles.
Hell yeah Mike!!! Finally they give him a chance in Indy, and he goes for 35 on his first run! Man I love that guy
jesus, these colts just reload on offense. manning just makes it all happen.
So far so good.
Wow, Manning scrambling for a 1st down....that's rare.
watching him run made me laugh.
That was a bad spot. Wow, was the ref even watching?
Offense not looking so good with Brown in and Hart out.
Hart would have done more with that screen. He still has that lateral cut in space.
When did Hart turn into an even bigger Mack Truck?
Looks good despite the holding. It's nice to see him running so well. Hopefully it pays off with more touches.
I never watch NFL but I'm watching tonight and just put on my HART ATTACK shirt! What a great end to a shitty day.
I like this a lot.
Miss ya Hart <3
He is running like the beast I remember so fondly.
How long is Addai out? Hart is certainly making his case so far.
What are they thinking bringing Donald Brown back in? we want HART
I was just about to post this same exact comment, Why would they even take him out when he is avg 10 yards a carry and just picked up a first down.
Seems strange that Donald Brown is actually younger than Hart.
Hart is a stud! I miss him. Just got a first down on good old MIke Hart effort.
Love the crowd cheering when Hart comes back in. Still dont get the rotation with Brown but whatever works baby.
Hart 67 yds on 7 carries at 9.6 yds/carry
Brown 5 yds on 6 carries at 0.8 yds/carry
Seems perfectly reasonable to play Brown!
Hart asked to come out. I think there was some kind of equpment malfunction.
He is averaging over ten yards a run.
The crowd there really loves him. You can hear it every time he touches the ball.
our beloved Mike Hart still has it. He continues to look solid as the game rolls along. I hope Caldwell sticks with him...seeing him and brown have about equal carries and hart has 67 yards to brown's 5.
I feel like this is the most the Colts have ever ran the ball. Hart just looks awesome out there right now.
Way to go Anthony Gonzalez. Has Hart been the only productive Colt on offense so far? Besides Peyton of course.
Mike's getting love from some notable alumni out in the twittersphere...

I can't find the clip, but Jay Mohr did a funny Berman impression about this same thing - he called the bullfrog voice the voice that Berman uses when he has to talk about a serious subject...
do you think he would even be recruited by Michigan today, let alone find the field? Not saying good or bad, but the world has definitely changed. I am glad though that he was part of the program. He will be back in some capacity supporting the program some day.
I dont see why he wouldn't. He's basically a bigger version of Vincent smith except hart actually breaks tackles.
Nothing would make me happier than Mike Hart being our running backs coach someday.
Except maybe a few national championships.
Why do they keep putting brown in? Makes no sense.
man, jaws and gruden are going down on manning like nobodys business. i mean, peyton is good, but they need to stop verbally pleasuring him on screen.
He was like 1 in out.
Dammit, Hart would have got that TD. Perhaps running the shotgun from the one yard line doesn't work when you run the ball...
another great run.
Oh no. Hart limping off the field
He limps off.
God damnit.. the Mike Hart injury bug strikes again.
Hope he's not done for the night.. he was having a hell of a game.
Has to open some eyes either way - he looked great tonight. Hope it's nothing serious, this was extremely impressive work.
nooooooooooo Mikey! get well soon!
that was painfully familiar. poor guy.
I see Hart standing and smiling on the sidelines, so it can't be too bad.
On that last play you could see Hart on the sideline and at least he wasn't on a table getting worked on or anything. Hopefully nothing bad, and just done for the night.
really wanted him to break 100, damn
i loved seeing him tell peyton manning to hurry up and get up after he got sacked
Peyton Manning is averaging more YPC than Brown. That's when you know you've had a rough night.
Great night for Hart, minus the early exit.
I think Donald Brown took touches away from Mike. I know that Mike needs rest on plays, but it looked like they alternated series. Should stay with the hot hand, which was clearly BIG BROTHER.
even if you subtract hart's 35 yard run, he still managed 4.5 yards/carry, which is very good. my man crush continues
I was at Lucas Oil Stadium last night on the edge of my seat with the possibilty of a Mike Hart start. As I was watching the Colts warm-up I could hardly contain my excitment to see Hart behind Manning running with #1 offense. When Hart ran off tackle on the first play I sat there with an overwhemling sense of pride. Hart was showing Colt fans what he showed all of us for 4 years. As the game progressed the conversation of those in my section did not revolve around Manning or a much needed conference win, it revolved around Mike Hart. Comments like "why doesn't Hart start" and "I knew we should have been playing him" rang from section 615. It was nice to sit there and hear people praise the Wolverines and Mike Hart. It was a great night to be a Michigan fan in Indianapolis.
I picked him up on a flier in my Fantasy Leauge as a spot starter due to bye weeks even though the experts were saying Donald Brown was the go to man....needless to say I have a smiley face that he did exactly what I needed out of him. Gotta love Hart.
