Harris leaving help with Trey?
The topic is pretty straight forward, does Manny declaring help us recruit Trey Zeigler since they fill essentially the same role? Trey could come in and get playing time right away now. I don't know much about basketball recruiting it just seems like it would make sense.

If he is concerned about building himself up for an NBA future as soon as possible, then Manny leaving is good. If he wanted to win, Manny staying would have been better. I'm getting the impression the former is more important to him.

Ziegler recently said Manny's status won't impact his decision. Take that FWIW.

several weeks ago during a Q&A with Trey on Twitter he said he'd prefer if Manny stayed and they played together. But on UMHoops.com Dylan posted a more recent quote where Trey clarified and said he would like Manny to stay, but it will not impact his decision at all.
Bottom line: Trey is good at playing the diplomat and you can't get a read off it.

He was planning on committing to Michigan several weeks ago, and now is thinking of going elsewhere.....
and the lightning flash in dark while we're at it! Dude, that's too negative. I prefer to think...okay, I prefer not to think 'cause I'm real tired but I do prefer a better vibe.
p.s. at the time I write this, you were at "-1", I was not responsible for that.
Are you serious? I don't get how so many people think your post is that offensive. Is there something I'm missing here? Like were you killing a kitten as you typed your post?

Zeigler was quoted as saying that he preferred that Manny stay but that it wouldn't affect his decision either way. Of course, this is a poltically correct answer but IME Manny's departure is more likely to increase UM's chance of landing him than hurt.

Nyes. Yno. Maybe.

So you're saying there's a chance?
"Full of shit"... Maybe Trey will realize the Rockies aren't very rocky and eliminate the team out west.
A chance that with Trey we make the Tourny next year
help. In fact, my gut feeling that he will be a Wolverine just got stronger.
do you share a gut with sam webb?
a special on TLC about that once. You can very much so.. go on and live a healthy life.
Well the year of infinite sorrow ended last night. The year of infinite happiness begins Sept. 4th. Signing day falls in between, so who really knows what could happen?
I don't think it will affect his decision much. Break it down like this:
CMU: Would be able to help dad keep his job. Seems like a strong pull for them, but remember that family and business don't mix well and putting the family's eggs in one basket (so to speak) is a risky move.
Duke: Strong program tradition, winning this year, but a backlog of players Trey would have to compete with.
UCLA: Similar story to Duke, but took a step back this year and is far away from home.
MSU: Backlog isn't strong for his position, but they seem a little late to the party.
Us w/ Manny: Stronger chance to win early, probably going to start anyway, but won't be the focal point of the offense.
Us w/o Manny: Less of a chance to win, but will be able to showcase his skills / be a top two scoring option.
That's just my take. I'd rank us in the top 3 regardless of the Manny situation.
didn't have Duke in his top 5. Replaced by ASU.
Unless Manny and Trey share a mental bond, I think Trey can make his own decisions. I'm sure that his ultimate decision wasn't dependent solely on if Manny stays or goes.
I think that, despite public quotes, Trey is pleased with the opportunity to take Manny's minutes. He is a Michigan lean and things look good.
Yes, No, Maybe so
Wait a month and then you'll know,
To which school he goes
I don't think he cared one way or the other. It would be nice if we could land him so he could play the same role next year.
When you Trey Zeigler, you don't worry about who is "ahead" of you in the lineup. I don't think there are many NCAA teams that wouldn't find at least twenty minutes a game for him right now.
