That place is a vortex of coaching compromise that sucks the talent out of top 5 recruiting classes on a yearly basis. Mack Brown will not win another national championship until Vince Young 2.0 comes walking through his door.

He was always a longshot for Michigan, but this kid was worth the press he got. VH III can seriously play, it's tough for me to see him go to UF considering my level of hatred for the Gators.

It's the same everywhere you go. A lot of those Gator fans are Seminole fans now. At least I see a lot more Seminole gear these days in central FL. What's really funny is remembering all the Pistons fans that used to exist. That and the non existing Tigers and Lions fans. I don't even like to mention those superstore fans out of pure hate for the phrase but it is true to an extent.

I have been a lifelong fan of Detroit sports. I love football most, so the Lions are my top pro team, followed by Red Wings, Tigers, and lastly by the Pistons. ( I am not much of a Basketball fan but if I root for a team it is the Pistons.)

I have a really old Barry Sanders T-shirt that I used to wear in the old days. Went to a fair number of Tiger games in the late 70's early 80's. Don't knock the Detroit die-hards, there are a few on this board.

I went to Florida for grad school after finishing my undergrad at UofM in 1997.  I was there for some fun years under the ol Ball Coach.  It's a fun place on Saturday with a very loud stadium and extremely rabid fans, but there's a level of intelligence, sophistication, history and understated badassery about the University of Michigan and it's football program that puts it on another level than any other program in the country.
