After what appeared to maybe be a concussion, Tim Hardaway tweeted:
Everybody thanks for your condolences I am fine and will be ready to go. GO BLUEE. BEATOHIO.
I was there and he looked ok when he was getting his MVP award (after the game). He posed for pictures with the "We On" shirt, then the camera folks asked him to take that off so he can get pictures w/ the MVP trophy w/ his Michigan jersey on. He was smiling for the cameras, etc. and was walking fine.
Great News!! NC State seemingliny struggling against UNC-Asheville and looking to be beatable for sure. Hopefully they hold on for the narrow victory, as this is one of our marquee non-conference games.
NC State pulled it out 82-80 over UNC-Asheville. This unimpressive win and the blowout loss to OkSt make them look pretty weak. Should be a good win over a ranked opponent for us.
I wanted them to still be #5. that would have been pretty cool and a big hype event for ESPN. not that it's not, since both are ranked teams (for now). But yes, hold on for the win wolfpack!
Mike Martin told me he loves me. My life is quite possibly complete.

“When your team is winning, be ready to be tough, because winning can make you soft. On the other hand, when your team is losing, stick by them. Keep believing” - Bo Schembechler
In the postgame press conference, I kept waiting for Beilein to say that Timmy has a boo-boo - to no avail. I guess his adoption of Hoke's terminology only goes so far.
Get will, Tim!
Denard's 2010 was spent redefining what one man can do.
have a damn fine basketball team this season.
Great game beating unbeaten KSU 71-57!!!
THJr looked incredible today, glad to see he'll be good to go. Today was one of his best games.
Very good news, that 23 point performance was incredible. Hoping for another now that we all know he's fine.
Yup this is great news. I thought Tim played the best game of his career today. He is quickly becoming one of my all time favorite players. He's not settling for the jump shot anymore. If he would have finished that dunk it would have been KRAYZ!
It is pretty F*&^ING exciting pondering what this team could do once they gel later this season. I'm all in on MBB this season. GO BLUE BEAT OHIO
Man can't even spell 'blue'. Clearly not ready to go.
After playing Pitt & KSU, it'll be nice to face a team that doesn't have a mammoth front line.
I might add. This team will only get better and may be a really scary team by the time it's all said and done.
Win Tuesday and we're looking at a 13-0 pre B1G slate and figure if we go 13-5 or 14-4 in the B1G before a possible 2-3 games in the B1G Tourney.
I say we end up anywhere from 26-30 wins and 4-6 losses before the NCAA's, so most likely at least a #2 seed if not #1
I think those games showed that we'll be in good shape to Sparty. They banked on getting 20 offensive rebounds against us every game. Hopefully Horford gets his legs back under him and McGary gets a little more conditioned.
Will be the most athletic team we have faced (by far).
It's tough being Blue in Columbus!!!
Hope I don't get a banhammer...Fuck Ohio State! Go Blue Beat Ohio!!!
That's great news! If anyone is interested, MSU is having a close game with Oakland. Also, two brothers are facing off in this game. #45 Denzel Valentine (Freshman) for MSU and #15 Drew Valentine (Senior) for Oakland.
how Sparty fans feel now that M's BBall is looking at least on a par and prolly being above them here pretty soon. And then you have the Football program speeding by them already and getting ready to dominate that sport again soon after an aberational 4 year lucky streak for them.
Many of our other programs are looking strong and are elite in many sports
Good times are to be had for us in this decade
Who cares what sparty fans feel?
"2nd and 5. Here he goes again!"
"That's 6."
"They're not going to catch him! Touchdown Michigan!"
It's great to hear that Timmy's okay, but here's my favorite quote from the postgame (from an ESPN recap: http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=323280130)
"Those who stay will be champions," Beilein said, citing the aphorism of former football coach Bo Schembechler. "So whenever we have a chance to do something like this, we embrace it and go for it like there's no other games in the season."
The man is a great coach, great person (from personal interactions with him), and just a great representative of the University.
GO BLUE!!! BEAT OHIO!!!!
This is great news. He was by far the best player on the court today. Absolute beast mode!
I hate ohio. Thats all you need to know.
He has been a monster so far this season. Just an absolute beast. I think we're deep enough to continue at a fairly steady level of play with the loss of one or possibly two guys, but if the loss of any one would hurt us, it's gotta be him.
HIs handling this season has been heads, tails and all other critical and vestigial body parts above last year. I feel like with his handling and Spike playing well, we don't even have to panic every time Trey gets a bump this year. Not to mention the epic bump we'd get from Tim Hardaway telling everyone in the NBA that Michigan helped turn his son from a middling prospect to a superstar.
THJ has been great so far.
Glad to see McGary, Horford and Max get substantial minutes today. Each of them needs to continue developing if we are goung to be a threat come March.
he may have slumped a bit his sophomore year, but he's really been backing up his offseason-draymond-green talk pretty well so far. Burke, however, seems to be slumping a bit this year.
IMO, Burke needs to stop trying so much to make plays by himself. If a freshman like Stauskus doesn't correctly make the extra pass, I gotta give him a pass; but Trey Burke has way too much experience to not correctly make the extra pass. If he's thinking about his draft prospects, Michigan will still do well this season, but it will also underachieve.
Every man at some point is gonna lose a battle. He's gonna fight and he's gonna lose. But what makes him a man, is that in the midst of that battle he does not lose himself. This game is not over, this battle is not over. So let's hear it .
Eh... one game (more like one half) off for Burke. No worries here.
CoE Class of 2007
In 5 games, Michigan has played 2 teams with comparable talent in its most recent games. During the first 3 games, it would be difficult to find fault with any player's game when Michigan wins by an average of 30 points to start the season 3-0.
In the fourth game against Pitt however, Trey Burke shot 31% (5-16) from the field in 38 minutes of play; he was 5 for 12 on 2-pt shots and 0-4 on 3-pt shots. A number of those shots were poor shot selection. His 6-assists-to-1-turnover rate was the highlight for him that game.
In tonight's game against K-state, Burke shot a better % (approx. 50%) from the field, but he often took contested shots, especially from 3-pt land from which he was 0-2. I can also remember a play in which he drove into the lane where 3-4 purple jerseys had collapsed; he put up a shot (that did not even hit the rim and therefore no chance of getting rebounded) that had no chance and might have even gotten blocked. There were definitely Michigan players ready to shoot if he would have made the extra pass. On this play, he may even have been marked for a turnover. He had 5 turnovers and 4 assists in 32 minutes of play.
Let's also not forget that he broke a team rule and had to sit out the first exhibition game.
It is early in the season, so I'm not at any level of worry yet. I'll just say Burke is catching my attention so far for wrong reasons more than right ones.

Michigan Basketball
@umichbballTim Hardaway Jr. passed all concussion tests (just a bump on the head). He is flying home with the team and should be fine
