This is more about Harbaugh than the 49ers...  in the matter of a few years the 49ers have gone from playing in the Super Bowl to not being favored in a single game.  The main change being Harbaugh.

I found it to be humorous but to each their own.

Harbuagh took a 6-10 team and was 13-3 with them his first season, getting to the NFC Championshp game.  Don't blame their dive back into the shitter after he left on "(losing) a shit ton of players and talent."

They were in the shitter before he got there.  They were a contender his first three years.  They started their descent toward the southern regions of the plumbing when it became obvious he woudln't be back.  And they finished their full descent into the sewer their first season without Harbaugh.

And look who they have lost since Harbaugh left. Half their damn team decided to retire at age 28. Harbaugh is a great coach. But the fall of the 49ers isn't simply due to Harbaugh leaving. There was a mass exodus of talent that didn't want to play for an incompetent owner/GM with an ego.

Had those players stayed, the 49ers wouldnt have had nearly the drop off that they did.

They're not going 0-16, but I still don't get York's decision. He gets rid of Harbaugh because he's tired of butting heads with a guy who wants total control of the team. He gets rid of one of the best coaches in the team's history and replaces him with another type A personality who will ask for total, complete control of the team.

People like Jed York should not be in control of an NFL team.

Not for the owners. No matter how inept, they are still essentially printing money. That's the real bottom line. People like Jed York fit in just fine, The wins and losses are for the fans. The essential parts of their business are getting TV deals they negotiate as a monopoly, sweetheart government deals, controlling the sports media and keeping everyone in line, from the owners to the players. It's all about cooperation, not competition.

Eddie should have taken over 49ERS when he was restated back into the NFL. At least Eddie knew how to build a team those 80's 90 49ERS teams got me into watching Sports next to Michigan wining the 1989 National Championship as well.
