Yesterday's thread was a short highlight of the interview.  This post has more info.  For the record, a few of the people I saw on various sports talk shows who talked about the crablegs incident had an opinion that it was a "hookup gone wrong" and that "they forgot to tell the security guard."

I don't think it's much of a stretch to say that it happens regularly, not only in Tally, but in most major college communities.

His mannerisms are awesome.  Quickly becoming a favorite of mine.  At the very end, he does a little "done" hand motion as harbaugh is summarizing how Winston should handle it.  Perfect.

I love Fisch's mannerisms. He is the ultimate hype man for Harbaugh, reinforcing everything Harbaugh is saying, and doing so in a somewhat comical fashion (as in, it seems like Fisch is in on a joke that no one else is in on). I also love the way Harbaugh was basically hazing Winston ("what are you, a sex addict?"- direct quote) while Fisch is giving off this "don't look at me-- everything Harbaugh says is 100% sane and legit."

"[We're] talking to our compliance right this morning," Fisher said Wednesday on an ACC coaches' conference call.

It's beyond staggering that Winston agreed to provide this latest version of the truth with the draft eight days away. The piece was taped months ago but -- again -- Winston had to know what was at stake.

So many layers, so many new questions. On the Florida State level, the school is looking into the revelation. It now brings into play the NCAA, even if it does become a minor extra benefits violation. Fisher said Wednesday, the school "thinks it's a totally isolated instance."

But he also said of Winston, "If he says it is [true], I guess it is."

told him that he could do it (and maybe that this was SOP?) This flies in the face of his "admission" that he forgot to pay. He also seems to imply that he took the fall when what he did was in fact okay, which suggests not just a certain ignorance of things like rules about compensation, etc. but what morality might dictate as well.

When I first saw the video what struck me was the way he marched straight to the seafood counter and back out. Suggested that he knew his way around the place. . .

A couple prominent journalists have sent some tweets indicating that the local Publix has been hooking up FSU players for a long time:

Exactly. Who hasn't seen football players get all the free drinks they want at Ricks and Skeeps (provided by the bar)? Players are given free stuff on and around campus because they're celebrities, and that is true at every major (and likely minor) football school in the country. There are a lot of shady things that other schools do that (I hope) we don't, but this is not one of those things.

The attention this is going to get in the media because of Winston admitting to a violation is going to be tremendous for Michigan recruiting. It is going to highlight the fact that the Michigan coaching staff really are the best equipped coaches to prepare you for the NFL, right down to the draft inteview process.

11 Warriors is so desperate for anti-Harbaugh content that they devoted a whole section on their daily news roundup to mocking Harbaugh for apparently not knowing about the crab legs incident earlier.
