Harbaugh Visiting Grant Newsome
Per his twitter, he's at Newsome's school. I'm just connecting the points on this. He's visiting current OL commit Grant Newsome.

Is this really thread-worthy?
January 23rd, 2015 at 1:21 PM ^
Nope, but it does provide an opportunity to post this also-not-threadworthy-but-still-awesome tweet:

To plain text editor, then copy the embed code, then switch bad to rich text editor and then post.

Gotta post it while in plain text.
Thank you Dr. Williams and Lawrenceville Prep Students for the honor to share your sideline and discuss Literature pic.twitter.com/BqB1tvI0E9

who all have their phones out snapping pix while they discuss "Literature."

Who has it better than Dr. Williams' literature class?
January 23rd, 2015 at 6:28 PM ^
Grant Newsome's teacher.

At this point, photos of Harbaugh with recruits are about as coveted on this blog as new Kate Upton shots.
January 23rd, 2015 at 6:59 PM ^
That is terrible what you just said. I could not disagree more. I need as many Kate Upton pictures as possible.
Considering this: if the Board topics included "OT Kate Upton Wardrobe Malfunction", and the very next topic "Hello: Whomever", which one would you look at first?

Reading comprehension fail.

Not a fan of having a board topic for every breath the staff takes and every hot take on Ballghazi?
January 23rd, 2015 at 1:24 PM ^
Nope. Too much important stuff going on with recruiting and such at this time of year.
January 23rd, 2015 at 1:35 PM ^
Visiting a recruit 2 weeks before signing day doesn't qualify as important stuff to you?
Its not like he is signed and it is a position of need.
Get off your high horse, dictating what people might think is importnat or "thread worthy"
January 23rd, 2015 at 1:38 PM ^
No. I don't think it's important, especially with the lack of provided information. Newsome has not been wavering and has remained solid throughout the entire process. It's not that it's irrelevant to Michigan, but the board would get cluttered if every single visit were given its own thread.

The issue I have is that the post said absolutely nothing other than "Harbaugh is visiting Grant Newsome." If that's all the news to relay, then it's not worth a thread. If there's some other tidbit, then so be it. Did he tell him what jersey he's going to wear? Did he say they want him to play right tackle? Did Harbaugh say he wants him to weigh 305 lbs.?
Harbaugh is going to visit recruits, committed or not committed. We don't need a new thread just to say "Jim Harbaugh is in a school somewhere in the country." Agree or disagree, I don't really care.
As for John Kelly profiles (or something of the sort), at least there's some content or information to discuss.

It is equally relevant as a post saying "Jim Harbaugh visited uncommitted prospect X today" with no further information, and no one seems to have a problem with those posts.
January 23rd, 2015 at 8:48 PM ^
I'm not a big fan of those, either. Those are fine for Twitter feeds, but I think it gets annoying on discussion boards when worthy topics, posts, news items, etc. get pushed off the board.

I think it is entirely thread worthy.

You're relatively new here, so I'll just let you know right now that what you're saying is absolutely untrue.
