Harbaugh sighting today!

Submitted by M go Bru on

Jim Harbaugh visited Novi Catholic Central today.

He entered into the cafeteria and the students starting chanting "Jim, Jim, Jim....."

I love it!

Might just be a courtesy call.  Catholic Central is one of the best FB schools in the state, along with Brother Rice, Orchard Lake St. Mary's, Cass Tech, Farmington Hills Harrison (I'm sure I missed a few).  He may be on a route to several locations and made a point to introduce himself to the staff there.  I don't remember them having anyone rated really high for 2015, but what the hell do I know.

When I went to CC, it was a common disciplinary measure to have students who misbehave (untucked shirt, facial hair, late to class, etc) clean the campus after school.  It was called a JUG and no one enjoyed them.

But it kept the school awfully clean.

Granted I'm biased, being a Shamrock alum, but it's amazing how much you can learn and how much the teachers can push you when you're not chasing tail.  When I started at Michigan, it was easy compared to CC.

Social development on the otherhand.....lets say living in a coed dorm was pretty much like Mars for the first few months.

I can completely vouch for that.  I actually ended up on an all guys wing in my dorm (see my username), so it wasn't a big living adjustment to me.  But when I found out that on the upper floors you could have guys and girls living next door to each other, passing each other on the way to the shower, my mind was completely blown!

I adjusted.

And say you've never been to a CC athletic event. You should, if you can elbow your way past the adoring throngs of girls from St. Catherine of Siena, Ladywood and Mercy High School (all-girls Catholic high schools).

Novi Catholic Central?  I do understand that Detroit CC is indeed in Novi, but I've never once heard someone refer to it as Novi CC before...Am I missing something here?
