so for us who don't know where every possibly recruit goes to school, who is he visiting?
January 15th, 2015 at 12:29 PM ^
Might just be a courtesy call. Catholic Central is one of the best FB schools in the state, along with Brother Rice, Orchard Lake St. Mary's, Cass Tech, Farmington Hills Harrison (I'm sure I missed a few). He may be on a route to several locations and made a point to introduce himself to the staff there. I don't remember them having anyone rated really high for 2015, but what the hell do I know.

love it
January 15th, 2015 at 3:52 PM ^
Nice....is he flying to Cass Tech now to save Mike Weber from making a huge mistake ?
January 15th, 2015 at 1:39 PM ^
What PSL coach actively steers kids away from Michigan (and towards Moo U)?
January 15th, 2015 at 1:55 PM ^
Jim comes from a rather active Catholic family so I wouldn't be surprised if he's working on getting into the good graces of all/most of the local Catholic high schools (CC, BR, OLSM, and hell even UDJ which has actually started winning some football games recently)
January 15th, 2015 at 12:34 PM ^
he could also be visiting David Moorman who is not far away in Northville.
January 15th, 2015 at 12:46 PM ^
He is just mining Tom Mach's head for tips on how to run the wham more effectively.
January 15th, 2015 at 1:37 PM ^
It never loses yards...so I hear.
January 15th, 2015 at 12:27 PM ^
to go to lunch.
January 15th, 2015 at 12:38 PM ^
it's no Red Robin
January 15th, 2015 at 12:30 PM ^
from CC?
January 15th, 2015 at 12:30 PM ^
This chant could become a thing and I wouldn't mind it.
January 15th, 2015 at 12:31 PM ^
It would be great if he ran into Urban Meier, who is supposedly also recruiting Detroit today.

S/O to U of M Head Coach Jim Harbaugh for stopping by Detroit Catholic Central today. Welcome home. #CCpride #UofM
January 15th, 2015 at 12:36 PM ^
Should we tell Jed York that Harbaugh wears a suit to say "What's up?" to some high school kids and staff?
January 15th, 2015 at 12:48 PM ^
that's my aunt! god dammit she got to meet Jim before me...
Funny story: I work with her husband (my uncle), and I find out she met Harbaugh not through her, not through my uncle, but through Mgoblog. Oh, the powers of Mgoblog.
January 15th, 2015 at 12:53 PM ^
And a "cool story bro" moment that we all got to witness. How often does THAT happen??
January 15th, 2015 at 1:25 PM ^
Through some random guy who saw it on the twitters.
Does your uncle know you're on MGB?
January 15th, 2015 at 1:27 PM ^
A good friend of mine who is an administrator at Harrison HS just posted to her FB page that she met Coach Harbaugh. I'm trying to see if she has a picture of it....
January 15th, 2015 at 2:02 PM ^
Harrison is only like 20 minutes from CC.
January 15th, 2015 at 2:23 PM ^
I just gave you my first ever upvote!
January 15th, 2015 at 3:16 PM ^
Does that mean we're related? (If he reads MGoBlog, I've outed myself.)
January 15th, 2015 at 3:59 PM ^
That's the cleanest High School hallway I've ever seen.
January 15th, 2015 at 5:30 PM ^
When I went to CC, it was a common disciplinary measure to have students who misbehave (untucked shirt, facial hair, late to class, etc) clean the campus after school. It was called a JUG and no one enjoyed them.
But it kept the school awfully clean.
Goodness, Discipline & Knowledge
January 15th, 2015 at 7:22 PM ^
You forgot to mention what JUG stood for... and thanks for being responsible for my only one and only JUG the day we were summoned as a school to dicuss our lack of discipline.
January 15th, 2015 at 12:40 PM ^
Wow. Those guys REALLY look starved for some type of female contact/attention. It just seems cruel to take girls completely out of the high school experience.
January 15th, 2015 at 12:44 PM ^
Granted I'm biased, being a Shamrock alum, but it's amazing how much you can learn and how much the teachers can push you when you're not chasing tail. When I started at Michigan, it was easy compared to CC.
Social development on the otherhand.....lets say living in a coed dorm was pretty much like Mars for the first few months.
January 15th, 2015 at 12:51 PM ^
Yeah, there's always a trade off I suppose. That's really funny about coed dorms.
January 15th, 2015 at 3:13 PM ^
At what point does that whole thing STOP being like Mars?
Rob - Class of 88
January 15th, 2015 at 3:14 PM ^
DUPE DUPE DUPE.
Sorry about that. Must have been the connection from Mars.
Rob
January 15th, 2015 at 3:14 PM ^
I can completely vouch for that. I actually ended up on an all guys wing in my dorm (see my username), so it wasn't a big living adjustment to me. But when I found out that on the upper floors you could have guys and girls living next door to each other, passing each other on the way to the shower, my mind was completely blown!
I adjusted.
January 15th, 2015 at 12:48 PM ^
I am pretty sure went to that school and I'm guess does pretty well with the ladies. Didn't seem to damage him.
January 15th, 2015 at 12:52 PM ^
January 15th, 2015 at 12:53 PM ^
Yeah, these guys are EXACTLY LIKE a multi-millionaire professional athlete with the body of hulk hogan because they went to the same high school
January 15th, 2015 at 1:56 PM ^
And say you've never been to a CC athletic event. You should, if you can elbow your way past the adoring throngs of girls from St. Catherine of Siena, Ladywood and Mercy High School (all-girls Catholic high schools).
January 15th, 2015 at 2:16 PM ^
January 15th, 2015 at 2:59 PM ^
Throngs of girls from Ladywood...
Carry on.
January 15th, 2015 at 3:02 PM ^
Hey, my wife went to Ladywood!
I'm going to be mad at you now, too!
(/S, the latter part)
January 15th, 2015 at 3:42 PM ^
Thought, I'll admit that my son finds the St. Catherine girls much hotter and the Mercy girls -- well, let's just say that he talks about the reputations of a few of them.
January 15th, 2015 at 12:51 PM ^
Kind of a funny comment for a dude with a Shamrock Alumnus as his avatar.
(edit: not funny ha ha)
January 15th, 2015 at 12:51 PM ^
Says the guy with the CC alum as his avatar.
January 15th, 2015 at 12:43 PM ^
What's your deal - bro?
January 15th, 2015 at 12:44 PM ^
What happened to his pants?
They must be in the laundry!
January 15th, 2015 at 12:34 PM ^
Novi Catholic Central? I do understand that Detroit CC is indeed in Novi, but I've never once heard someone refer to it as Novi CC before...Am I missing something here?
January 15th, 2015 at 12:35 PM ^
It's not the name, but a lot of people call it Novi ( or in my days Redford)
