Harbaugh to NFL - "No freaking way"

Submitted by bluebots on

According to Bleacher Report (yes BR sucks etc etc) NFL GM's have reached out to Harbaugh's camp and

"weren't told just 'no.' They were basically told 'no freaking way.'

Harbaugh isn't going anywhere."

Love it.

is good when you want some sunshine blown up your ass.  They do pandering very well.

That said, only a fucking idiot would even call Harbaugh's agent after his first year at Michigan.

The only way he leaves Michigan, in my opinion, is if he gets to the point of Pete Carroll success at USC and feels he has nothing left to prove at U-M. I think his personality and competitive spirit are perfect for the college game. I think it would take 2-3 National Championships for him to stop teaching the game and instead babysit the game in the NFL.

Great stat: The four non-Harbaugh coaches hired by the Yorks are 44-88. Harbaugh alone was 44-19-1. Harbaugh could have went on a 58 game losing streak and still would have a better record than the other mediocre hires made by San Francisco.

I mean the NFL scribes got it wrong when the story was hot, now that it's not and it's all about whatever, the dumbazzes re-emerge to discover, wow, he really doesn't need the NFL to succeed. What a country?

I cannot believe NFL execs have the audacity and balls to ask Jim if he will leave M after one season. That is fucking insane. Jim loves his job and also would become vilified for leaving after one season. He wants no part of that whatsoever.

Hoping Meyer won't have any, er, "health or family problems" and stick around for a few years for the same reason.

Wish it had happened to Tressel- he is worshipped down there in hell for his record against Michigan.

NFL owners don't give two shits about waiting for Harbaugh to complete a college rebuilding project. They need their teams to win, and win now. And Harbaugh has proven he can win big quickly. An extremely rare find at any level of football, especially at the NFL level.

They'll beat down his door every year with a truckload of money to see if maybe somehow he's changed his mind.

I cannot believe people are surprised that the NFL is contacting Harbaugh. You have a coach that took a moribund franchise to 3 straight NFC Championship games, including a Super Bowl, who is not coaching in the NFL. It would be insane for these GMs not to feel out Harbaugh.
