Harbaugh to NFL - "No freaking way"
According to Bleacher Report (yes BR sucks etc etc) NFL GM's have reached out to Harbaugh's camp and
"weren't told just 'no.' They were basically told 'no freaking way.'
Harbaugh isn't going anywhere."
Love it.

Now someone just needs to swap out Jack's face for Harbaugh's and replace those metal tins with NFL team logos, and we'll have a GIF for the ages.

A Harbaugh punting gif with the shield being punted.

It is too soon for me to use a punt reference in any positive form.

Either wildbackdunesman's referencing a rumoured event from the MSU game which I don't believe actually happened, or wildbackdunesman's a Canadian seal who had an unfortunate encounter with an orca.
Being in denial, I'm guessing it's the latter.

is good when you want some sunshine blown up your ass. They do pandering very well.
That said, only a fucking idiot would even call Harbaugh's agent after his first year at Michigan.

So you are speculating Jed York was one of the GMs then?

I realize you are just joking but you are confusing necessary and sufficient conditions.

Jed's an owner. Trent Baalke is the 49ers GM.

The only way he leaves Michigan, in my opinion, is if he gets to the point of Pete Carroll success at USC and feels he has nothing left to prove at U-M. I think his personality and competitive spirit are perfect for the college game. I think it would take 2-3 National Championships for him to stop teaching the game and instead babysit the game in the NFL.
November 4th, 2015 at 4:55 PM ^
Let's be honest and call Pete Carroll's departure what it was- he bailed because he didn't want to deal with what the NCAA was handing down. If that whole debacle doesn't happen, he's probably still there, without a Super Bowl.

I mean the NFL scribes got it wrong when the story was hot, now that it's not and it's all about whatever, the dumbazzes re-emerge to discover, wow, he really doesn't need the NFL to succeed. What a country?

with a results "now" mentality. I'm not surprised they have inquired. I love the answer, but I'm not surprised.
Wish they were beating down Dantoni's door.

I don't. He needs to be there to receive what is rightfully coming to him the next several years.

Hoping Meyer won't have any, er, "health or family problems" and stick around for a few years for the same reason.
Wish it had happened to Tressel- he is worshipped down there in hell for his record against Michigan.

if he hadn't been run out Michigan wouldn't have gotten the 2011 win.
November 4th, 2015 at 10:01 PM ^
They'll beat down his door every year with a truckload of money to see if maybe somehow he's changed his mind.

I cannot believe people are surprised that the NFL is contacting Harbaugh. You have a coach that took a moribund franchise to 3 straight NFC Championship games, including a Super Bowl, who is not coaching in the NFL. It would be insane for these GMs not to feel out Harbaugh.

Everytime I worry about Jim leaving I just think of how bleak things were a year ago. And it makes me smile.
