Harbaugh meets Beilein

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Michigan probably now has the best Football/Basketball coaching duo anywhere.

So let's enjoy this photo.

Izzo is no doubt a good coach, but very overrated, IMO. For that reason I'd give the nod to Harbaugh/Beilein.

Not that it's unwarranted, but in the midst of all the praise Izzo gets for his post-season success, nobody points out that he's consistently had top recruits without early NBA departures. In fact, Harris was the first in 10 years.

It's crazy to imagine how dominant we'd be right now with a Burke/Stauskas/LeVert/GRIII/McGary lineup.

Also, Red Berenson was at the press conference. I'm sure he didn't get much sleep last night since he was busy in Downtown Detroit coaching his team to this-

a 2-1 victory over MSU for Michigan's 16th GLI Championship--the most in GLI history.

Awesomeness

With the jury still out on McElwain I'd argue the Big 10 has the 3 best Football/basketball coach combos in the country.   You could probably throw Louisville in there as top 5 and not sure who would fill out the top 5 (hell maybe Duke as they had a coach that turned down our job offfer for fooootball)!

In so many ways. And has anyone else noticed that across the state, the sun has been shining brightest today only over southeast Michigan? Evidently, Bo has been pulling a few strings with the Heavenly front office. Some things never change.

We are truly blessed right now. I am as giddy as a child before Christmas morning to see Jimmy on the sidelines for the next 7+ years!
