It's a tradition the week of the Game. They go to Forest Hill Cemetary to visit the graves of famous Michigan football figures.

How poignant the hope in that article has come to fruition. Every word of it is truth. I'm glad there are enough people on this Earth that held true through the tough times and hung onto that belief so we could live this new era. Go Blue

it actually started in 2006. The year it was #1 OSU vs. #2 Michigan.
November 24th, 2015 at 9:29 PM ^
I remember it was in the beginning of the HBO Mich OSU special they showed it from 2006.
November 24th, 2015 at 9:54 PM ^

November 25th, 2015 at 10:01 AM ^
As Ufer would say, "God bless his cotton pickin' Maize and Blue heart!"
Harbaugh must be my mental twin, I smash buckeyes after every UM - OSU game in joy or in frustration!
November 24th, 2015 at 10:18 PM ^
I would guess that he did it as a player, too.

November 24th, 2015 at 8:07 PM ^
Harbaughs people contacted us a few weeks ago and said he wanted to do it and then confirmed last night. He said he loved the tradition.
November 24th, 2015 at 9:15 PM ^
One of his people? Because that sounds like fun.
November 24th, 2015 at 11:13 PM ^
Who is "us"?
November 24th, 2015 at 11:18 PM ^
I'm going to assume you are the ghost of James Angel and you haunt the graveyard. Harbaugh approached you to determine the requisite permits and rituals that were needed to bring tools into the graveyard.
Please confirm
November 24th, 2015 at 8:08 PM ^
There is no way he is ever leaving for another job.
November 24th, 2015 at 8:08 PM ^
I'm sure he'll enjoy the tradition of crushing the buckeyes on the fileld even more come saturday.
November 24th, 2015 at 8:08 PM ^
...the day Harbaugh takes a gig somewhere else.
Which, I'm still convinced, will be never.
We all have our varying degrees of Michigan pedigree, educational experience, and allegiance, but I dare you to find me someone whose blood is more maize and blue than this man.
November 24th, 2015 at 8:21 PM ^
I think that is literally impossible. Local, father was a coach for M, Heisman candidate at qb for M, alumni, head coach. Them roots is deep.

November 24th, 2015 at 8:12 PM ^
I'm jacked right now! Are you kidding me! This image of him, preparing to crush a buckeye at the foot of Bo's grave, is burned into my brain. THIS, ladies and gentlemen, is MICHIGAN!
