Harbaugh doing work tonight
Anyway, cool story bro, I know. Just thought I'd point out that he's living up to his enthusiastic Twitter promises and working into the night.

I remember Jim being very polite in giving me his autograph at the 1989 Spring game. There were a lot of former players there that day. I was a 12 year old at the time and I was on the prowl to see how many autographs I could get. The only former player that I remember being a douche was Jamie Morris. He yelled at me and said he would not give me an autograph because he was busy talking with someone. I was totally embarrased. Thankfully, Jimmy was nice to me.

The look alone makes me want to show off my complete and utter lack of bowling skills more often at Colonial Lanes. We haven't taken the kids there to see me mock the sport lately, but if that's what they can potentially offer in terms of surrounding now, I might have to change this.

At first glance, i thought that was porn on the TV screens.

Chop House Annapolis (@ Town Center) is fantastic.
Wife with the filet, me with a rare bone-in ribeye.
As good as the Ruth's Chris.

Love Ruth's Chris. I also own a fair amount of stock too so I'm partial to it.
Chop House AA is pretty good. It has good ambience and every time I go back to AA to recruit we have our dinners over there. You can't go wrong with the place. They also have a good scotch selection.

Only to a point...gotta fill the roster and especially bolster those positions of need (i.e. - DE, CB, OL)
January 17th, 2015 at 12:02 AM ^
I think with Jourdan Lewis and Jabrill Peppers on the team, CB will be in good shape for the *immediate* future--but it's true that we definitely need some more depth.

Jay Harbaugh = a better coach's son Jay than his counterpart at Penn State, Jay Paterno.
Though in the latter's defense, he is at least a better Paterno than his brother Scott.

Jay Paterno is one of the worst truthers out there about his dad. Hope he's happy the real victim in all this got his damn wins back. What a fucking disgrace.

Recruits on official visits have their trip paid for. Not sure if this extends to food that isn't from the university, though.
January 16th, 2015 at 11:13 PM ^
Yes, food is included. That's why they are at Chop House.
January 16th, 2015 at 11:18 PM ^
During an Official Visit, pretty much everything is included. If it's an Unofficial Visit, then you pay for yourself.

Davis said he did think Harbaugh might want to be a Raider, but said he's not disappointed because Harbaugh wanted to go to Michigan.
— Tim Kawakami (@timkawakami) January 16, 2015
Mark Davis, asked if Harbaugh's lack of interest disappointed him: "It did and didn't. Again, I wanted someone that wanted to be a Raider."

OK, noted: Michigan fans hate me.

And there is still time to hit that number.
As for the quality, it'll be a very solid class, IMO. Is it going to be 8 or 9 top 100 guys? No. But that's not realistic. We didn't go to a bowl this year.
We're not a good football team.
Harbaugh's impact in year 1 will be development of the guys ON the team. Why? Because there's so damn many of them.
This was never going to be a big class, we need to focus on developing the talent already on the team. We really don't need one guy from this class to play next year. Think about it. Not one guy are we banking on an impact. It'll happen, but we have enough young talent returning that we just need those guys to develop, pan out, improve.
Now you obviously will need the guys in this class down the road. So we just have to focus on finding guys that are going to contribute by their 3rd year (whether that's Jr. or RS So.)
In doing so, you're bound to hit on some sleeper or lower rated guys that end up becoming key contibutors.
We'll be fine...recruiting wise. I'm far more interested in seeing the guys on the team get A LOT better.

You can get neg'd pretty far and still post in threads ;)
January 16th, 2015 at 11:22 PM ^
Look, it's going to be a small class either way. We're trying to fill our key needs and we're only taking guys who are ready to win from day one. Either way, Coach will get who he needs and he'll have to work with who he has for the first year. I am hoping for a great record, but moreover, I just want to see a great competitive spirit in every game. One day at a time, we'll turn this around and then the doubters will come back into the fold as well.
